Wyndham Hotel Cleveland

The national recession has been very mean to Cleveland. However, should you go there for any reason, stop at Wyndham Hotel on ... Euclid Ave. Order a steak---a 16oz. bone-in rib-eye. Even better: stay at the Wyndham and order room service. The steak entre from the Encore ( the Wyndham's restaurant )was fabulous. The room service was prompt and friendly. It was a good hotel for us as it was centrally located between the Indians baseball park and the Browns stadium---both less than a mile away.

--Owlxi, Cleveland, OH Jul 3, 2009
Rock and Roll Hall of Fame is a must! Progressive Field (Cleveland Indians) is around the corner. The only complaint is that the area around Playhouse Square tends to be deserted in the evening with few restaurants. Best dining and nightlife spots are 5-8 blocks away. Theaters are right next door.

Owlxi Jul 3, 2009
Overall the staff, location and room were great. For some reason an alarm somewhere in the hotel kept going off. It never ... woke us, but we could hear it while we were awake. It also took a little while to check in as there was what appeared to be a beautiful wedding reception going on and there were drunk guests strewn about

Wyndham Playhouse Square

I was there for a week-long conference at the hotel. Very nice place for a conference, helpful staff, especially desk person ... Mel Williams. Meeting rooms were excellent and there were no hitches I could see. The hotel itself is clean, I had a corner room, very comfortable and large with king-sized bed, electric computer chair, wireless, small refrigerator and microwave, ironing board, etc. All staff was very friendly.

Excellent location for walking to Progressive field, it was nice we didn't have to drive to the ball field and deal with ... parking. Hotel valet parking was expensive option. We chose to self park because the weather was nice, but there were very few unreserved parking spots available. We usually look for hotels that include breakfast in the room charge as this represents a huge savings for families. This hotel did not provide "free" breakfast.

The Playhouse Square District is just across the street. The area where the Wyndam resides is business during the day...nice ... deli nearby and Starbucks if you need it...The staff are sweet and helpful. We felt welcomed. We will probably never go back to Cleveland, but if we do, we will stay here.

Our main reason for staying at this hotel was because it was within walking distance to Progressive Field. We even let our 2 ... 1/2 year old walk along with us and I carried our 2 month old baby in a sling while we walked...that is how close it was! The hotel staff were the friendliest people I have ever met. We were given free milk in the restraunt for our 2 yr old b/c we forgot to pick some up. Then they also gave us a microwave and fridge for the room free of charge! Very nice location! Exceptional staff! Would def stay here again!!!!
