The keynote of the international is the feeling of grown-up glamour and sophistication that reigned throughout the Kennedy years – the golden age of All-American-Style; full of promise and ambition. This is not Austin Powers or Warhol Pop. Think Babe Paley; think dressed up, crisp clothed jet-setters and kings of commerce enjoying a classic champagne cocktail, nibbling an elegant snack, while engaging in intense flirtation and conversation into the wee hours – after all one can always stay over.
No. 10 Thomas offers Contemporary American cuisine and the perfect ambience for any meal. Watch the “Early birds” at Logan Circle in the morning, sunbathers taking a dip in our pool after lunch, or the sunset over National City Christian Church in the evening. Sip a Glass of Champagne or enjoy a cocktail by candle light on our Poolside terrace and make a wish while counting the shooting stars over Washington D.C.

Great Stay
Accidental Tourist Nov 19, 2009
I could not have been more pleasantly surprised with my stay at the Washington Plaza. The room was very clean, all ... furnishings were in good shape and the staff was very helpful and friendly. The location could not be better and the price was very reasonable. The exterior of the hotel is a little dated but don't let that fool you, the lobby and the rooms have been recently renovated and they are done in very good taste. I did not eat at the hotel's restaurant because there ares o many options nearby.

make sure to call the restaurants first, in DC is not like other world cities that you can eat dinner at 10 or 11pm. For example Secquoias closes the kitchen at 9pm!!! Amazing.

Traveller Oct 27, 2009
The hotel is in a good location for sightseeing. However I had one bad event. When I received our bill, we were charged for ... a movie when we never left the free TV menu. I had to ask to talk to the manager to get the fee reversed. The staff person kept saying that ESPN was extra(we did watch the Eagles/Redskins game, but it was on the free TV menu.

A great place with a couple downsides
Hannah Banana Oct 13, 2009
The hotel was in the perfect location for our trip. We were able to walk to all of our destinations. However, I found out on ... Sunday night when we were leaving just how much it cost us to park and walk the entire time. I didn't know anything about parking fees for the hotel. The front desk staff was very friendly, which was great because we had many questions about the area. It would have been nice to have had a continental breakfast offered, but there wasn't one. The hotel was beautiful, though. The beds were SO comfortable and the whole place was clean and nice to look at.

It sucked! Small rooms ...
Anthony D Sep 21, 2009
The room didn't resemble the pictures on the website at all. I selected this hotel because of its location and outdoor ... pool. The ideal was that my wife and kids could hit the museums and swim while I attended business downtown. The rooms were small and the old Zenith tv didn't have any input jacks to connect the kids Playstation. I have three boys, Playstation is a must! The rooms did not have a microware so we asked if we could warm our food in the microwave and they said only if the food was purchased from the hotel!!! I couldn't believe it, we're paying almost $200 a night and we can't heat up a couple of pizza slices? Wow!!! Oh yeah, I forgot to mention that the coffee machine was in the bathroom next to the toilet. Your next cup of Joe is on me & Great location (walking distance to the White House) but the rooms sucked! Would be a great offering if they updated the place. Experience: 7/09

The overview
Brandye Newly Wed Sep 16, 2009
My husband and I went to DC for our honeymoon. The hotel location was ok if you take the metro or are ready to walk a LOT. ... It's about three blocks to the nearest metro and about 11 blocks to the National Mall. The regular rooms are small, but very clean. The one big problem we had is there was a small gap under the bathroom mirror that you could see the next room's bathroom through!! The staff was friendly and helpful when asked.

If you are sightseeing, I would suggest one of the tours first and then get an idea of where you would like to spend more time instead of walking everywhere first. I got a horrible blister!!!
