This is actually an apartment building not a hotel. It was great though. It was a little older of a building, but everything ... was clean and nice. It's located on a good beach for boogie boarding or fishing and like 1 mile from their little downtown area. I will stay here again next time I go to kaui.

The best vacation EVER
Traveling Soldier Sep 20, 2009
The Wailua Bay View was perfectly located and we had a great view of the ocean from the lanei. The beach is a short walk ... from the condo and there are supplies in the condo to take to the beach (beach towels, chairs, umbrella, small ice chest, boogie boards). There's lots of good snorkeling at Tunnels and Ke'e beach(we brought our own snorkel gear). You can rent Kayaks at Hanalei and paddle down the river to the bay and play in the waves-that was great fun! The Princeville Ranch Adventure is lots of fun-ziplining above the jungle is a must. We also took a catamaran tour that was incredible (Holo Holo Charters). On this tour you get to snorkel, see the Na Pali coast, see dolphins and see turtles and lunch is included. Dining out can be pricey but there are some great restaraunts to visit. Every place we went had great, friendly service and we didn't have one bad meal. One of the best places was right across the street from the condo. It's a little Mexican restaraunt that serves some great seafood-the shrimp diablo is the best! Wahoo and the Lemon Grass Bar and Grill are also very good. There are little restaraunts all up and down the highway-just know that food on Kaua'i is expensive.

Nice Condo, but horrible construction
Irene Sep 18, 2009
Our stay at the condo was nice for the first 2 nights, but then they started construction on the roof right out side our ... bedroom window! We brought our 1 year old son with us and it was horrible during his nap time. They would tear the tiles from the roof, send it down a shoot and it was go down crashing onto a dump truck. It was LOUD! Other than that, the condo was nice. Good location, in the middle of everything. Although it is a beach front condo, you can't access the beach directly through the condo's backyard. You need to walk down a flight of stairs and exit the condo, go onto the main highway for 30 feet and then you'll be safe onto the beach. It was pretty scary holding my 1 year old son walking towards oncoming traffic on a Kuhio highway, but we didn't have a choice. Other than the construction, it was a nice place to stay.

Nice view but no beach access
HHDD Sep 4, 2009
The condo was very nice and the property manager was very friendly. The location was close to shops, resturants and bars- ... even walking distance. Make sure your room is away from the street, our was 202 and the bedroom is facing a shell gas station and the main road which was very noisy. The rooms way from the street would be very quiet. There is also no direct access from the property to the beach. You will need to walk off the property, along the street and through the the public beach. All the views of the ocean were from the livining room, they are beauitful. The pool was nice with a BBQ area but there is no hot tub.

I love having the washer and dry in unit
Mama Aug 19, 2009
It was very relaxing and beautiful views of the beach. The old resturant broken down next to our room is a bit of an eye ... sore, otherwise all else was perfect. Friendly property manager [...] was so helpful and great guy..Really did his job. I had a late check out and they worked with me and it saved my butt...Thank you..I will come here again...Marilyn Murdock

Great Location - Great People..
Sandiawoman Aug 2, 2009
We enjoyed our stay at the WBV. It was convenient to get around the island starting from there. The view was to die ... for...[...], the manager, was great. Everything was clean and tidy and very attractive. The unit itself could use some updating, but it had everything. A great deal for the money. Some reviews complain about the Shell station across the street being noisy, but we found it very handy, and we were in a unit on the 1st floor close to the road. The noise level from the road was minimal.
