We stayed here Oct. 9, 10, 11, 2009, room 509. Had a very enjoyable stay. The room was decently clean, housekeeping did a ... good job. The hotel definitely needs some upgrading; the shower had mold on the ceiling, peeling paint, etc. but nothing I couldn't live with on the beach for $79/night. I was about to post a good review, but... We stayed in the back bedroom and my son slept on the sleeper sofa in the front room. When we got home Monday night, he casually told us "by the way, I have all of these bug bites". His arms, legs, and stomach were covered with little red bites. I wish he had told us before leaving, now I'm afraid that we brought some bedbugs home with us. I called the hotel twice and was told the manager would call back, but so far no returned call. IF YOU DON'T MIND SLEEPING WITH BUGS, STAY HERE!!

The room was much smaller than the picture depicts due to the fact that the picture was taken with a wide angle lens to make ... the room look bigger. I traveled with my brother and a friend of mine to stay the weekend and to go to a concert and we are 21 and 18 and for us this was perfect. If you are traveling with a family or have children I wouldn't recommend staying here. The locks were damaged and bent which looked like someone tried to break in or it could have been just ignorant drunk people that damaged it. Location was perfect we were a block from the concert and had an oceanfront room.

We went for a stress relieving trip. the staff was super friendly and more than eager to please. they knew the area and ... gave great directions. the room was clean and basic. we were there for the ocean and beach, got a great view, great staff and a clean room, and much needed tension release!

I have to say this hotel was nothing like the pictures on line and their rating was way to high.I called for toilet paper and ... waited 2 hours.There internet didn't work.The table for eating was not stable.Tub was dirty and no tub stopper for a childs bath.I have never been so upset as to leave a hotel early but,we did cause it was awful..Trust me its not worth the savings if the hotel is -2 stars.Compared to my last 4 stays in Va beach.This was the worst.I hope to be refunded something..??I have always stayed at a 3 star or above and did move to a 5 star ..

Had a good experience at this hotel. It is older and will soon need some attention. Liked the kitchenette area with sink. ... Had a great view of the ocean and waves. Was able to walk to restaurants and shops. Never moved the car once checked in. Staff very cooperative. If you want 5 star this is not it. If you want affordability, location, suite type accomodations, internet access, a great view, go here.

Although the location and the view from our balcony was really nice. The outdoor pool wasn't very clean. There was dirt on ... the walls, the floors didn't seem too clean and the bathroom was very small. There was no sink or mirror in the bathroom. The location was great but the room was not worth the price, I wouldn't stay here agian.

while we weren't in the room very much, it was great to have the view of the beach. the room was small for the five adults ... that were there but comparable with other hotels in that price range. It served its purpose. The staff was friendly and the room itself was very clean. overall it was worth it and I would definately return.

We stayed at this hotel last year.We found it was much cleaner than last year. The only problems we had was the air ... conditioner in the room didn't quite work right and the elevator was very slow and small.Overall, everything was great. Check-in was at 4, we got there a little after 3 and the rooom was not ready, but was ready by 4. Fireworks on Sunday night were great.Everything was great.Staff was very nice and eager to help.

The room was dirty the bathroom was gosh awful small. The door to the room would not stay shut unless it was slammed hard. ... The safety lock on the door was broken the door to the balcony had a slide flip lock on it no door knob on the outside. But the worst thing of all was waking up several times in the night to find bugs in our bed. The lobby was the smallest I have ever seen and the elevator was slow as christmas. I will definately never stay there again.

Very satisfied.. We had an oceanfront room on the 7th floor. The staff was very friendly, they even let us check in at 9AM ... when we arrived (check in is not until 4pm). The pool was small, but clean. It's also in a great location on the strip, especially if you're young & looking for a good bar to hit up (there's 4 or 5 right accross the street). The room wasn't as nice as I'd hoped, but it was clean and well kept. All the rooms have microwavess, fridges, and kitchen sinks too....

For the location, this was a decent price on a beach-side hotel. Then again, I guess it should be when you stay at the ... hotel. The depiction of the hotel on the website should be considered false advertisement. The rooms looked NOTHING like they are portrayed on the website and a gourmet complimentary breakfast? What a joke. There was a juice machine and cereal in the front lobby. The rooms weren't very clean and you could barely lock the door. Basically, I would NEVER stay at this hotel again.

There are a lot of great places that are within a short drive that are really cool to go see. We went to the Aquarium and MotorWorld. There are also a lot of shopping and dining opportunities. The room also had menues from nearby places so you would know what to expect and helped with having things delivered. Also, many free magazines in front of hotel and along streets which were very helpful in finding local attractions and events.

This is a tourist town. If you go to Virginia Beach out of tourist season, places close early. One day we drove up to Busch Gardens and didn't come back to the hotel until about 8. Most places were closed (including the McDonalds). So be aware of when places closes! Needless to say, we ate vending machine food and Rice Crispy treats for dinner that night.

We went to the Chesapeake Bridge/Tunnel, Military Museum and the lighthouse at the Army base. There is an aquarium there and also Oceana air base. Lots to do and many places to eat and shop.
