There was a steakhouse we went to that was very good. It was right across from the Peppermill and it was called Ruby River or Ruby something. We also walked to a diner called Heidi's. We didn't know how much food we were going to get when we ordered. I also liked the In-Out-Burger place. The fries were fresh cut and had a wonderful taste. We had to drive there but not too far.

BigBopper Aug 17, 2009
Have stayed in both the Peppermill Tower and the Tuscan Tower and much prefer the Tuscan Tower. We stayed in the Tuscan Tower ... during Hot August Nights and they doubled the price of the rooms for the event. We have been going to the event for years and we like the hotel but that type of gouging always sours me. Nice hotel otherwise.

Terrific Tuscany Tower
Golden Girl Jul 19, 2009
The king beds was very comfortable and the staff was very friendly. We enjoyed breakfast at the buffet and the bbq at ... Saucy's. Though the casino was a bit far from our room, my 83 year old mother was able to walk the distance with very little trouble. The lighting in the bathroom could be improved. I would definitely recommend the Peppermill Tuscany Towers over the downtown venues.

Tuscany Tower at Peppermill
Reno Gambler Mom Jul 10, 2009
The Tuscany Tower rooms were beautiful. We took advantage of the jacuzzi tub. I loved the two showerheads in the giant ... shower. The cleaning people were very thorough. We didn't get to check out the cheaper rooms. The beds were very very comfortable and I loved the pillows. Very decorative. The trim was beautiful. I have never seen so many paintings. We even had a tv in the bathroom. We went to Lake Tahoe twice while we were there.

Beautiful "Taste of Italy"
Terri Beth Jun 23, 2009
The Tuscan Towers are beautiful...especially the bathrooms which include double sinks, lots of marble and even a make-up ... mirror! Rooms are elegantly appointed with comfortable beds and flat screen tvs in both bed and bath. Only complaint is that both the parking and check-in are a good hike from the new tower. Supposedly you can check out on your tv screen, but it didn't work for us.

Kirk Oct 19, 2008
The Tuscany Tower at the Peppermill was average at best. We stayed in a Villa Suite, large but sterile in design. Hotel ... staff as a rule adequate but not attentive. No bellman out front upon arrival, concierges generally not particulary knowledgeable or forthcoming with information or recomendations. Casino help very friendly however any further gambling trips will be back to Vegas where the customer service seems to be a little more important.

Chantel Sep 27, 2008
The room was very nice. They seemed brand new. The beds were plush. There was plenty of counter space and place to put ... things. The lights were different than I was used to, so the switch took some playing with to figure out. The tub was spacious and the separate shower had multiple shower heads, which made for an incredible shower before a night on the town. I don't recommend going during street vibrations because it was very busy and the staff seemed a little worn out from all the people.

New Tuscany tower with foul smell
Jennie Sep 21, 2008
The building is very new, however, the sewage system needs re-engineered. Starting on the second day of stay, there is foul ... smell coming out from the bathroom, and at first we thought it was our own morning waste. But when we returned in the afternoon, the smell still existed, and we found it's coming up from every outlet in the bathroom including the toilet. We called the hotel, but there is not much they can do. They tried flushing the outlets with water for some time, but of course it won't work since the main problem is in the main system. They told people to come spray the room, but like it would help anyway. They knew there is problem in a sewage system, but did not mention anything to us at check-in. The gas from the sewage would fill the bathroom so quickly if we leave the bathroom closed. Since there is nothing they can do, nor did they offer us to exchange the room, I just fill the holes in the sinks with wet towels, and fill the sinks and the bathtub with water. This is as much as I can do. The bathroom did not smell as bad in the next morning, but the toilet area still smells very bad. We were just very disappointed.

Glitzy but Tower rooms are nice
Sally Sep 1, 2008
The Tuscany Towers at the Reno Peppermill is very nice. I'm not a fan of casinos generally, so I don't like walking through ... the casino to get to check-in. However, we did not have to wait in the regular check-in line, which was fairly long. The Towers has its own check-in, which is a very nice feature. However, it is not staffed at all times, so be aware of that. The room itself was quite spacious and had very nice upgrades. The ability to dim lights in both the sleeping area and bathroom is great. The room was tastefully decorated, the beds and linens plush and comfortable and it was very clean. I'd definitely recommend the Tower rooms to friends.
