We went to Las Vegas for our 35th wedding anniversary. The staff throughout the Trump were consistently professional, ... courteous and attendant to our every need. we chose the Trump because we are nonsmokers and it is a nonsmoking facility. We talked to other couples who stayed in hotels that allowed smoking and even some of the smokers were complaining about the smell. No problem at Trump. No casino either and at times it is nice to get away for the gambling as well. The room was spotless and the shower and whirlpool tub were a plus. We only ate one meal at the Trump and were pleased with the food but with so many choices in Las Vegas why limit yourself. Truth is we didn't eat anywhere twice. The Trump is a short walk off the Strip and in easy walking distance of some of the larger new casinos. If you didn't feel like walking there was always a taxi available anytime we walked out the door. If you want one reason to stay at Trump the best recommendation we can give is the staff at the Trump. We interacted with staff at several other facilities in Las Vegas on this trip and none could hold a candle to the professionals at the Trump.

Rosemary's Restaurant at 8125 West Sahara. Dinner for two is expensive- $150.00 excluding tip but worth every penny. The meal was wonderful and the service was exceeded only by the food. The cab ride from Trump was about $25.00 each way and you should call ahead for reservations.

A refuge in crazy Vegas
catmom Oct 27, 2009
I realize the vast majority of visitors to Vegas are looking for casinos, smoking and crazy night-life, but for those few of ... us who need refuge, or who like to have your own light breakfast in-suite, don't want to have to walk through a smoke-hazed casino to get to your room, this is the place. It's also right across from the Fashion Show mall for great shopping if that is your thing. Only steps away from the strip, but no bright lights, no noise, no drunks in the hallways - very quiet place - and beautifully appointed. The staff were very friendly and helpful; easy to valet park your car if you have a rental; easy to get taxis anywhere. We didn't try their in-house restaurant but I assume it was good. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone wanting some peace from the frenzy that is Vegas.

The water show at the Bellagio was absolutely magnificent. They seem to run every 15 minutes in the evening and although they are short, they are all different. Well worth the walk down from the Trump Hotel, and do stay for at least an hour to experience a few - spectacular!

hotel stay at trump

Our stay at the trump hotel was "awesome". From the moment we arrived we were met by warm and courteous stay who offered an ... upgrade at an affordable fee. This upgrade was the best investment in terms of improving our overall stay in Vegas. While we were there we shopped, danced at one of the clubs in a different hotel, and ate various foods. I would definitely vacation in las vegas again in the near future. Thanks orbit for helping my trip to be both rewarding and relaxing.

well the hotel is magnificently appointed, friendly staff but we just had bad luck with the internet. we arrived and were ... give the option to upgrade the room for $50 per night to the One-Bedroom Suite South Strip View, so we did, we started of on the 48th floor with a strip view however the internet stopped working not long after i logged in. to keep the story short they moved us on the 2nd day down to the 37th floor to a suite where the internet was working. this room had a bad bleach smell so after an hour or so they moved us to a One-Bedroom Suite South Strip View this room was great but the trains that run past blowing their horns what seemed to be all night woke us up at lease twice a night and the internet again stopped working. you might think why are you worried about having internet access on your stay but i needed to keep in contact with my business. the house car is great, if you can get it, you need to slip the doorman $$ to get it + a tip for the driver. i made the mistake of just asking if the car was available with out the $$ i was told no driver available but as i walked away another guest with the $$ was in the car within 30 seconds on the weekend there is a bus that will take you to treasure island and return for free. overall the stay at the hotel was good, despite the broken sleep. the check out at 4pm is also a ++ for the hotel. the resort fee is a bit of a rip, especially when you don't use any of the facilities and it dosent include internet, but the magnificence over all of the hotel seems to make up for it.

Relaxing and Quiet at the Trump
Fimikimi Oct 19, 2009
This was my second time at the Trump and I am please again. I appreciate that this hotel is simply a hotel and not a casino. ... My stay is quiet, smoke-free, and restful. The prices are so reasonable! The walk from valet to the lobby check-in to the elevator is accessible and not a journey through a casino or to the other side of the hotel. If you're ready to go out on the town and need a taxi, the bell boy will happily and quickly hail one for you immediately. The rooms are amazing! Each room is fully furnished with modern furniture, the beds are so comfortable I did not want to get out of bed, and the bathrooms are unbelievable - marble showers, a TV in the mirror, a full jet spa tub - amazing! The pool is great, too. Nice and relaxing with no loud groups of frat boys being idiots or little kids splashing in the pool. There is also a restaurant and bar in the lobby with a live piano player at nights. The only bad thing about this hotel is the location; sort of off the strip and the other side of the street is strip club row. Also, there is a train nearby that woke me up at 7am. Really, Trump, you couldn't get some sound-proof windows??

Our Honeymoon!!
Maui2Minn Oct 19, 2009
We had an absolutely wonderful honeymoon and look forward to making this trip an annual event. My personal peeve of 'The ... Donald' aside, the property and the staff were phenomenal and we could not have asked for any better service (other than housekeeping was one day delayed in picking up our laundry but if that is the worst thing to happen then I will take that anytime). We did hear the infamous "train" and it was not an issue for us - we like trains anyway :-) It is not nearly as far from the rest of the strip as some bloggers led me to think and it was great that the mall was right next door - we were there every day getting something from the ABC store. The pool was great - we tanned to our hearts content!! We will never stay anywhere else!!!

Pros: Friendly Staffs, Quiet Rooms Cons: Terrible House Keeping, In-Room Dining, Bad Location Overall the experience was ... OK. Friendly and effective staffs, doorman, food.. But I just had to quote considering it's a 5 star hotel. I saw dusts piled up on the desk in our room, which I just went along with.. Next day I tipped fully thinkin' they'll clean the place spotlessly.. Only thing they changed were our bed sheets. We had couple noticeable trashes on the floor (opened soap box, plastic bags, etc.) they didn't even bother to pick it up. And the dusts on the tables and desks were still there. Not something you would expect from "5 Stars Hotel". In-Room dining, I ordered couple foods and drinks, the person who brought the cart ran over my foot and spilled the drinks on the main food and cart, and all she said was "Oh..", and left the room. Although it says it's very close to Las Vegas Strip (distance wise), it may not be all that close as you think.

Las Vegas was a great trip. I did not expect the 100.00 per night deposit when I went to check in. that was a complete ... surprize but we got over it and enjoyed the entire stay. Sneakers are a must and drink plenty of fluids. Watch out for the taxi's who want to take you on the high way because most rides on the strip are 10-15 bucks but some will try a fast one..

The buffet at the Beligio was really great, fancy and affordable. The food was off the hook and a easy cab ride then you can walk down the strip to walk off some of the food.

If you are tired of eating in the hotel, take a drive on Spring Mountain Rd. to china town where there is an assortment of Asian restaurants. And if you really wish to splurge for a great restaurant instead of the fancy ones on the strip that give you a spoonful of food for huge money, go to Rosemary on Sahara and Buffalo where the food is great and reasonably priced for being a world class restaurant. Best to have your own rental car, or it'd be worth the $25 - $30 taxi trip cost to enjoy this world class dining experience and service.

The restaurant inside the Trump was extraordinary, with a pre fixe menu served daily for $29.00. It included a wide choice of appetizers, entrees, and sumptuous desserts. The heirloom tomato salad with aged balsamic vinegar was a salad lovers delight; the entree salmon with herbed gnocchi was cooked to perfection, and the chocolate dome dessert was decadent and delicious. Other appetizer choices included french onion soup, caesar salad, and a butternut squash soup. Entrees included shrimp etouffe with linguine, and a filet mignon. The dessert choices boasted an alize cake made with hazelnut and chocolate (the richest thing I have ever tasted) and a miniature carrot cake. There was something for everyone, and it was right downstairs from our room.
