Visit grandchildren at Ft Carson

Motel was chosen for location near Ft. Carson. As Travelodge motels go, this one was not very clean but not dirty. Rooms ... were not very well maintained but functional- everything worked. Bath had mold, worn out tub & shower. Hotel was reasonably quiet and safe. Bed was OK but not very good, two thin pillows. Bath towels were thin and ragged on the edges.

If you like good bbq and nice dining do not eat at the Firehouse The bbq is tasteless ,the sauce is runny, the western bbq beans are straight from a can of Kuners Pinto Beans in chili sauce-the jalapeno poppers are from Costco at 8.00 for 6 and the owner thru the people at the next table out for complaining and please if you want to beat the fly's to your food take your own swatter altho many fly's have died at the tables and the window sills P.S. there is nothing wrong with Kuners pinto beans they are good but not what you would expect in a good bbq diner

Not the cleanest place to stay
Traveling Grammy Aug 25, 2009
This place was convenient to visiting with my daughter. Just down the street from her. I only slept there, didn't use the ... pool or try their breakfast. It was an ok place to stay. The TV was ok, didn't have a good selection. Hard to find which channel was what w/o a channel guide. Will most likely look for a better deal next time.

I have stayed at hotels from cabo to montana-from seattle to coco beach florida -this hotel tops the list of the dirtiest. ... the sheets had holes in them, there was half empty beer cans in the closet, mold on the bath tub, wall paper peeling of the walls,no liners in the trash cans and sticky spots in the carpet by the trash, spider webs on the ceiling and the last straw- wet human snot on the shower curtain I will never stay at a Travelodge-any Travelodge ever again and will share this with all my friends and family

Gone up in smoke Jun 7, 2009
We hated it the non smoking room was full of smoke, pillows and sheets, The blanket had several cigerate burns in it. The ... tiolet didn't flush. the smoke alarm was disconnected. I would have gone to another motel/hotel, but there was a 100% no refundable fee. The smoke alarm and the toilet was repaired, however the room was full of smoke. We felt unclean and had we have all our clothing cleaned when we left. never again...

My husband and I was there from Friday to to Sunday and the room up above me you can here them walk and the water you can ... here run for eveything and people up all night walking and running up and down there. The location was fine the neighdorhood has to many people in and out of there. Was a busy place with people move all the time and not want to go out after you get in and you keep looking out the window to check your car because it's to much movement

This Travelodge in Colorado Springs was pretty nice. The beds were comfortable, the room was clean, and maid service was ... great. The location of the hotel was near restaurants and close to all Colorado Springs attractions. We had no problem at all and would stay there again.

There were fast food restaurants as well as dining in places all close by. Colorado Springs attractions were within a few miles. Grocery stores were also near, and everything was very convenient.

Lynn Apr 16, 2007
The managment staff were friendly and efficient. A small but appreciated Continental breakfast was provided and a computer ... for free guest use are located in the office area. Our room appeared clean, was quiet, and for non smokers. the big drawback, however, was that pets had been kept in the room and the odor of cat urine was strong. This was reported when we left and we were assured that the problem would be addressed.

It was just a short drive of a few blocks south on Nevada to dinner choices of Panera Bread, Noodles and Company, and shopping at a Walgreens.
