It's a trap
Kelpdancer Jun 27, 2009
When I checked in, I was asked to wait 2 hours for a room which was tucked in a corner with no light, and no access to ... daylight, the worst room I have seen in 20 years of travel. I wasted precious hours in a beautiful place waiting for this awful room. To their credit, when I came up to the front desk, they knew I wanted to change the room immediately as soon as I put the key on the counter, so why did they give me the room in the first place and make me wait for it? The rooms were extremely overpriced and very uncomfortable. There was no overstuffed chair to sit on. The breakfast was acceptable. The front desk was very nice and accomodating.

Burkes Chop House has excellent steaks including bison if you like it and excellent appetizers. The service is also excellent.

Shopping and Dining are only a short walk from this hotel. Try the famous Bunnery restaurant for a casual atmosphere, their deserts are great.

Great Place in Jackson
Kenneth Sep 13, 2008
We were very pleased with the accomodations and service at The Trapper Inn and Suites in Jackson, WY. Downtown shops, ... restaurants and galleries are all within walking distance. The room was very comfortable (one of the most comfortable beds of our vacation) with a separate sitting area and TV from the bedroom (a mini-suite). The hotel staff knew the town and gave excellent recommendations on restaurants. I would highly recommend this hotel to friends and family.

Great Location
Barbara Aug 23, 2008
The Trapper Inn and Suites was very comfortable and convenient. It was only 1 1/2 blocks from the town square and was an ... easy walk to restaurants and shopping. Being on the North End of the square also made it convenient if you were visiting the Teton or Yellowstone National Parks. The pool and hot tub were in a separate building which would not be the most convenient in cold weather.

A Charming Hotel
Glenn Jun 27, 2008
We wee very pleased with The Trapper Inn. The staff was friendly and informative of the area. We were very pleased with our ... suite. It was attractive as was the Inn itself and was well equipped with very comfortable beds. The gardens were lovely and the location outstanding just one block from the town square, shopping and restaurants. We were very pleased with The Trapper Inn and should we ever return to Jackson Hole we would definitely stay there.

Good Location
Kimberly Mar 5, 2008
The Trappper Inn was centrally located. A very short walk to all the shops and restaurants in the Town Square. It was also a ... very short drive to Jackson Hole Ski Resorts. The rooms were kept clean, but the beds were hard as a rock. Felt like we were sleeping on the floor. There were also pipes that would start clanging around 5:30-6:00 AM every day, so unless you are an early bird this is very annoying. The staff was very pleasant and helpful. We stayed in the the older section, but rennovated section, so the new suites may have much nicer accomodations ( a bit more expensive though).

Stop by the Cowboy Bar for a drink, it's a real hoot. It has saddles for bar stools, a knobbly pine bar, silver dollars and local brands set into the bar. Also, live music and several pool tables.

Trapper Inn in the Teton Mountain Rage
Vicky Jo Feb 12, 2008
No matter what time of the year we visit Jackson Hole we view the visit as the most relaxed, refeshing and God's Country ... vacation. This was our first time staying at Trapper Inn & Suites and enjoyed the very comfortable room which had a small kitchen, and a sitting area with TV and table with two chairs. The double sink vanity (bathroom separate from vanity,)was a big plus. Even though the pool was in its own building a short walk was needed for anyone. We do feel the pool is too small. We had children in or party and other than skiing, the pool was their choice of entertainment. So a walk to and from the pool wasn't a big deal to them. A short walk to the Square for shopping or eating is enjoyable. We wil definitely be staying at Trapper Inn on our next visit to Jackson Hole. We usually are in this area 2-3 times a year.

Our favorite restaurant while visiting Jackson Hole is Million Dollar Cowboy Steakhouse, for dinner and the entertainment is upstairs at Million Dollar Cowboy Bar, known for their saddle barstool.
