Needed a place to stay one night to attend the Wellfleet Oyster Fest. This was a good option. Did not require a two night ... stay.

We had been to this motel twice before many years ago..Unfortunately the room has not been updated. Items may have been ... replaced as needed but the room has mismatched or uncoordinated-- bath window treatment (with bathroom wall paper)...Bath mat was so old it had loose threads. Linoleum in bath was yellowed with age. /shower handle difficult to regulate temp. Bath room door difficult to close. Sink had discolored area around drain. No shampoo, conditioner or lotion. Sound insulation between room lacking--heard snoring from next room.. Room size adequate--NOT spacious. Room VERY DATED...Will not return here.

We booked the hotel after seeing one good review - I think the 5 star review must have been the owners. I didn't smell mold ... as one of the reviewers suggested, but he was right about the towels -- they were very worn out. The room itself wasn't bad but the bathroom was a disaster. Both the floors and the walls were horribly stained - not dirty so much as just really old. The bathroom was just not maintained at all. Also there is not very good sound insulation from the outside either, so you can hear everyone come and go. Although there is a restaurant on site we were told it was not open that day (on a weekend) with no other explanation. I suppose it is probably only open when they have a certain number of guests. I suppose this place could have been charming if the staff was friendlier and maybe if they offered a nice breakfast included with the room, but it was not worth the price. There are many motels along this road - I would keep looking.

Should have kept looking

I was disappointed with my motel room. The room had a moldy old smell. The towels were no longer white and they should be ... replaced. I was there for the weekend and the motel is in a perfect location close to bike rental places and the Cape Cod bike path. I did not use the pool but it looked nice and it was the cleanest thing I saw during my stay. I would not stay there again until they renovate the rooms and bathrooms.
