Well the hotel is a quick walk from the beach which is really the only reason we picked it. For the price, didn't really ... expect much. The rooms were not the nicest. The air condition was definitely not the best, even on full blast at its coldest. Had a neighbor who figured it would be a great idea to put on the tv really loud in the middle of the night and really early in the morning. Didn't really get much from the staff...but again, great location.

The room was much cleaner than I expected, even under the beds it was spotless! Everyone seemed very friendly and open. It ... was a great location for the price. One block over by the 24 hour pizza place was a bar called the Karnival. Awesome atmosphere and Fran makes the BEST drinks!

Decent but nothing great
New Yorker Aug 26, 2009
The hotel was nothing great. No one came to clean the room the whole trip to have that service you needed to pay an extra ... $50. You only got towels and toilet paper everyday. And even then they would forget to give clean towels so you had to go down and ask. It is 2 blocks away from the beach, which is not bad. But there are no shops or nightlife next to the motel. You have to walk for about 20 minutes to get to the restaurants and nightlife. The pool was nice but small. They had several bbq grills for the guests to use, which was nice. The rooms were a decent size, but the bathroom was not to nice. The tub's paint was chipping. I do not recommend this motel and I would not stay here again. Its is not that dirty though so if you are looking for a place just to sleep and do not mind its location then go for it.

Family on Vacation Aug 24, 2009
We went there thinking about the beach, and this hotel is very close to the beach, it's just a walk. The beach in front of ... the hotel is good (not wonderful, but good), and has showers to clean us from the salt water. It's 1.3 mile from Las Olas. It's very good to walk near the beach on the evenings or at night. It's near the Sunrise Blvd, where you can find supermarkets, stores, etc. At the hotel you maybe will find many people smoking in front of the rooms. But we saw many families with small children at that hotel. And during the weekends, don't expect them to clean your room nor make the beds, because they don't do. And the business office works only from 9am to 5:30pm. After that it's closed. They have wireless internet in the rooms, as well as refrigerator, a small and strange microwave and a toaster.

So the first night we got there, we laid down to go to bed, and found URINE on the sheets and the mattress.Yep you read ... correct. URINE. Disgusted I went to management who made it seem like it was us who did it, even though we just got there. No apologies later, she put us in a different room and didn't even offer a discount or upgrade. Really not what I call customer friendly....Disgusted!

Great place, I'll certainly stay here again when I come into town. The staff was really nice, after I checked in they told ... me that the soda machine wasn't working properly...I was thirsty so they gave me a diet Coke from the office. I think that I was upgraded to a king with a kitchenette. The only con was that the floors were a bit dirty, but what do you expect at a beach hotel right? A possible other thing was that the walk to the nearest conviencence store is a bit long.

The good, the bad, and the ugly
sp May 26, 2009
The best thing about this motel is that it is located within a walking distance from the ocean. The place is very cosy and ... clean on the outside and has a decent pool and a good terrace. The refrigerator and safe were a big plus. The street is safe, nice, and quiet. Now, the bad part.. The office is open 9:00-5:30 so if you are planning on arriving late, call and make sure your key will be available when you arrive. The girl at the office admittedly tries her best, however, one evening we were sitting outside our room reading when three women arrived and unlocked our door with the intent to occupy our room. It turned out there was a mix-up and they were given another copy of our key and she assigned our room to them when she left in the evening. It is good that we were there. The room service is next to none. The maid made the bed and replaced the towels - that's pretty much it! She never carried out trash or vacuumed the floor, neither she ever replaced shampoo or coffee packs even though we left her tips. Inside, our room and bathroom were clean but the decor looked like every item was purchased on a garage sale. The A/C was perhaps 20 years old. In a nutshell, it's an OK place for the money but be prepared to be on your own and don't expect too much. Next time, I'll check the nearby places on A1A.

The nearest convenience store is 7-Eleven on Sunrise Blvd on the East side of the intracostal bridge. You can get things like beer, coffee, sandwiches, and fruit salads there. Over the bridge, on the right side there is a shopping plaza with Starbucks, CVS pharmacy, and a fancy cafe. 15-20 min walk or 5 min drive from the hotel. The nearest Publix supermarket is on Sunrise and NE 15th Ave.

What a great place. I felt like I was staying at a 5 star hotel. The staff was friendly and took care of the us for whatever ... we needed. The location was perfect, one block from the beach. It was a very quiet and relaxing stay. They provided us with beach chairs, umbrellas and they even gave us flexibility with our check in/out times to work around our flight. I would stay here again in a heartbeat, which I will next time I fly down. If you want a low key, inexpensive place, great location, 5 star feel than this is the hotel to stay.

I am relocating to area for work and needed a place for a few nights prior to condo move in. The hotel is dated and they are ... upgrading, but my room was clean, everything worked, wi-fi in room, kitchen was ok, pool was good and right out the door, pretty quiet, 1 block from the beach and walking distance to plenty of dining etc.( none on site), great staff, very helpfull and knowledgable about area. I have recommended to several people already

This hotel is a short walk from the beach with access to many restaurants and shops nearby along A1A. It's a small hotel with ... a relaxed atmosphere and friendly staff. We never used the pool because the beach was so easy to reach. On the few windy days it would have been handy to swim in the pool. But why go to Ft. Lauderdale for that? There are many high priced big name hotels nearby but the variety of restaurants and the beach itself are open to all. No need to pay more.

While the Three Palms Resort Motel does not have the same level of ameneties as many larger hotels, the staff was very ... friendly, the location couldn't be beat (two blocks from the beach), and the rooms and grounds were kept very tidy. The staff provided a welcoming atmosphere and the location was close to many dining options either within walking distance or by car. I would certainly stay here again on my next visit to Ft. Lauderdale.
