The Avoca Village, famous home of TV show Ballykissangel, is a quiet and peaceful village that features Fitzgerald’s Pub, Avoca Handweavers, a post office and a church. The Avoca Handweavers, reputed to be the oldest weaving mill in Ireland, has been weaving colorful and quality tweed garments since the last century.
The highlight of the tour is a visit to Glendalough "glen of the two lakes", which is a truly spellbinding place and home to the impressive 10th century Round Tower. Glendalough was carved out by glaciers during the Ice Age and the monastic settlement here has been a centre for pilgrims and visitors since its foundation in the 6th century.
