Bermuda Trip
Duxgoose Sep 12, 2009
We arrived to discover a number of inaccuracies in the Orbitz description. First, we checked into a room with a double bed ... and a fold-out couch. The write-up says two double or a king. Not so! We were told all the rooms were the same. We asked about the Business center, It does not exist. Wireless in rooms OK, but I did not bring a computer because of the promise of a Business Center. Hot water was a problem. We finally asked on the third day what the problem was with hot water. Then the surly desk clerk came in and ran the water for 1-1.5 minutes before it got hot. We know how precious water is on the island, so this is simply unacceptable. Also the shower control was connected wrong so the hot water was where the cold is.

Good for business traveler or tourist confident enough to ride a skooter. Bare bones, off the tourist area and bus routes, ... but VERY convenient to the ferry route to Hamilton ($5 round trip). Literally waterfront to Hamilton Harbor. Continental breakfast- coffee, tea, juice, toast, skones/muffins, granola, yougart, that's it. Front desk is very helpful and room is cleaned daily.
Traveler type: Couples
Take advantage of multiday tickets for the ferry system to get to/from Hamilton to the Dockyard and St. Georges but will need to find alternate transportation to beaches.

A nice simple hotel in a great location
FrugalSnorkler Aug 17, 2009
We had a great stay at the Wharf. All of the rooms have decks that are right on the harbour. The room was clean and ... spacious. It was also very quiet. The hotel is 20 feet from the ferry dock that runs regularly to Hamilton. A 10 minute ferry ride to Hamilton sets you up for all sorts of destinations. A 3 minute walk to the bus terminal gets you on the Route 7 bus to the south beaches or the Route 10 bus to the north shore. You can also jump on the ferry to Dockyard or St. George's. This is a very laid back hotel. It is not your typical Bermuda high priced resort where they try to anticipate your wants and desires. The ladies at the front desk are helpful though and very friendly.

The Hotel does not have a restaurant, but a fun 10 minute ferry ride lands you on Front street in Hamilton. From there it is a 1 or 2 minute walk to Silk (great Thai food and very good prices for Bermuda), La Trattoria (way better than Portofino's), and Hog Penny (again good prices for good London pub food).

Wharf Executive Suite Hotel
jayfog Aug 17, 2009
Nice set up, easy assess to the town of Hamilton and Ferry and bus transport that made it easy to get around the island ... cheaply without a moped (car rentals are not available). This is right on the water and the ferry pulls up right next door. Continental breakfast was nice and it was a quite stay.

Good loction, bad service
JP Jun 22, 2009
I tried reaching the front desk by telephone several times, and did not get an answer. When I was at the hotel, I had to ... wait until someone arrived at the front desk so that I could get my questions answered. I got the impression that the hotel may be understaffed.
