Good value, great location

We did not use the hotel facilities at all. We were out and about for most of the day, however the pool and fitness center ... appeared to be very nice. The downside was that parking seemed a little excessive. $20 per day for self park in a parking garage. Location was excellent with shopping and freeway access very convenient.

Restaurant called Memphis on Bristol about a mile and a half on the other side of 405. Great food.

Nice inland hotel
randp Aug 4, 2009
Surprisingly nice hotel. Unexpected costs though as parking was $20/day for self and $28/day for valet. Impression from ... adverstising was that wifi was included, but actually charged $11.95/day. Drinks and food very pricey, worth the walk to go to the local restaurants. Otherwise, nice amenities and nice rooms.

Great hotel, horrible service!
jeniferh Jul 7, 2009
This was one of the better Westin's I've stayed at. The hotel is right next to South Coast Plaza and near Newport Beach and ... Huntington Beach. The only downside was the lack of service. We called for a few things and they never showed up or they never came in a timely manner. For example, we asked if they could pull out an extra couple chairs by the pool - the staff said they would send some right away and a hour later still no one! Overall, a good place to stay. It's definitely no Four Seasons, but a great, clean hotel in a central location!

OC for the Weekend Jul 6, 2009
I am very happy that we used this hotel strictly as a place to crash, and for that, it served its purpose. However, if we ... planned our weekend stay to be focused more around this hotel stay, I would have been very disappointed. I thought that I got a good deal when booking this hotel, but in the end, I guess I got what I paid for. We checked in late on the day of our arrival because we went to Disneyland straight from the airport. Disappointment #1 - they did not have the room I reserved (1 king bed). Instead I was offered either a handicapped room or a double room, neither of which was exactly what I was looking for. The room itself was very ordinary. The bathroom really looked like it was in need of some serious updating - there was peeling paint and chipped tiles. The TV did not function properly and there was no HBO. The late night dining menu is extremely limited and overpriced, as are the rest of the services/dining options at the hotel. How about $10 beer? Or $20 per day to self-park the car? Or $2.50 for making toll-free and local calls? The hotel chain must be doing very poorly because this pricing is unbelievable. On a good note - the location is absolutely great and their beds are wonderful. We had no trouble getting out to the beach, to a golf course in Mission Viejo and to the theme parks. The hotel is central to everything OC!

I was traveling for business and would stay again at this hotel. The hotel is clean, contemporary and good customer ... service. I especially enjoyed the ahi tuna and wine in the bar area while watching the Laker game. The bartender with the cool chanel sunglasses was excellent at getting me my tuna extra raw like sushi. Overall had a fantastic time!

Nice Hotel in a Great Location
Northwest Traveler May 8, 2009
Located across the street from South Coast Plaza, this hotel is within walking distance of a large selection of shopping and ... dining options. Also, the Orange County Performing Arts center is around the corner. Hotel was very comfortable and staff helpful, although not effusive. Rooms were clean, spacious, and comfortable, and the gym was spotless; they even had free earbuds if you forgot yours. Only complaint is that the on-site restaurant kept very erratic hours - they opened late so we couldn't have breakfast and closed early so we couldn't have dinner - the front desk was unaware of the situation.

Jessica Jul 16, 2008
The Westin Costa Mesa was a wonderful hotel. The rooms were incredibly spacious and comfortable, with heavenly beds and ... showers. The pool area was really nice and not very crowded, awesoem pool chaise's and outdoor sofas - great for getting some work done in the sun. However they were doing some construction which made it a little loud. Perfect amenities with a Starbucks in the hotel.

We stayed at the Westin Costa Mesa on a weekend. Their hotel is geared more toward the professional weekday travelers so ... staying during the weekend we were able to get great rates and a quite atmosphere. Next to great shopping and literally only about 10 minutes from Newport Beach State Park. I would recommend staying with Westin Costa Mesa. We'll stay there again for sure.

great value for a immaculate room
Karl Feb 24, 2008
The Westin South Coast Plaza was everything I expected. I was excited to stay in that room. When I actually got there, I ... was happy to find it as immaculate as I thought it would be. It was extremley roomy and the furnishings contributed to a great environment. The bathroom could have a little bigger and looked a little...ordinary, compared to the main room. It was very convenient to have it right next to the 405 freeway. I wish they could've been more willing to give me an extended checkout, but overall, I was pleased with my experience.
