Panoramic tour of London’s West End
The day begins with a drive past many of London’s famous monuments - the Houses of Parliament with Big Ben, Downing Street, the official London residence of the British Prime Minister, Trafalgar Square with the statue of Lord Nelson, Pall Mall and much more.
Westminster Abbey
Next, the tour will make a photo stop at this magnificent Gothic building that has been the site of every coronation since 1066.
Household Cavalry Museum - Exclusive Feature
Exclusively for Gray Line/Golden Tours – you see behind the scenes of the Household Cavalry and meet an actual trooper from the Household Guards – You will be able to ask any questions!
Buckingham Palace and Changing of the Guard
Next, the tour arrives at Buckingham Palace, to witness the Queen’s Foot Guard in their red tunics and bearskins marching to the accompaniment of a military band– a colorful spectacle. (Or we will visit the Horseguards Parade when this ceremony is not available).
The Buckingham Palace/changing of the guard portion of this tour is subject to weather conditions and timetable changes.
Walking tour of Covent Garden
After lunch, time permitting, you will enjoy a short walking tour of vibrant Covent Garden a wonderful Italian style piazza lined with shops, street entertainers and restaurants in the heart of London’ theatre district.
City of London
Driving through our financial centre we will learn about the Great Fire of 1666 and the Blitz of 1940-41, you will see the Bank of England and the home of the Lord Mayor – The Mansion House.
St Paul’s Cathedral - Exclusive Feature
The tour will then arrive at Sir Christopher Wren’s masterpiece, St. Paul’s Cathedral which is one of London’s greatest buildings with its Dome standing proud on the skyline. The present building, completed in 1708, replaced the medieval Cathedral destroyed in the Great Fire of London.
The guided tour of the interior includes the newly cleaned Cathedral and Crypt as well as an exclusive access, available to Gray Line/Golden Tours clients only, to the Quire to see the beautiful mosaics. This is not normally open to general public.
The Tower of London & Crown Jewels
During its 1000-year history this impressive fortress has been a royal palace, prison, mint and zoo. It has seen three Queens of England beheaded, and the torture of numerous prisoners, stretched on the rack and crushed in the Scavenger’s Daughter. You will also see the famous Crown Jewels including the dazzling Cullinan diamonds and the exquisite Koh-i-Noor, as well as the Bloody Tower, Traitors’ Gate, the Royal Chapel and the White Tower, built by King William the Conqueror in 1078.
Cruise on the River Thames
The tour ends in spectacular style with a wonderful river cruise enjoying superb views of Tower Bridge, London Bridge, the London Eye, and Houses of Parliament, Shakespeare’s Globe theatre, the Tate Modern and much more.
London Eye
You will also have the opportunity to finish off this wonderful day with a flight on the London Eye. Enjoy fantastic panoramic views as the whole of London stretches out below you.

On Sundays in London, due to services being held at St. Paul´s Cathedral there is no access to the Quire. Meeting the Trooper at the Household Cavalry Museum is subject to Guard Change.

Primarily Kensington, Park Lane and Victoria areas are convenient locations to our routes. The Kensington area is where the Kensington Forum hotel is, Park lane is where the Hilton Park lane hotels is and Victoria is where our offices are.
