What a beautiful place
Biketoberfest Oct 19, 2009
We came to Daytona for Bikeweek, and when we arrived at the Shores, we were greated by a friendly staff; and check-in was ... quick. We had a room on the second floor overlooking the Atlantic Ocean. When we entered the room, we found it to be clean, friendly decorated and looking just like the pictures on the Internet. I checked out the bathroom, which had beutiful tile and clean towels. The bed was very nicely arranged with clean, white sheets and fluffy pillows. The view from the balcony was breathtaking, especially when we got up in the morning to watch the sunrise. We choose to try the breakfast bar, which looked very inviting. It included fresh fruits, such as Blackberries, Rasberries, Pineapple and several different types of Melons. There were scambled Eggs, Bacon, Ham, Biscuits and Gravy, and baked Potatos. Also available were waffles, hot syrup, preserves, different kinds of pound cake and muffins as well as bagels and cream cheese; too much to try everything. The waiter and the waitresses were very friendly and took time to exchange a few words. Overall, our experience was wonderful, and we would have loved to stay much longer. Maybe next time.

Great stay
Jackie Sep 25, 2009
"Oh wow!" was my first reaction when I got to my room. Never had a four-poster bed in a regular hotel before. And the bed ... was, without question, the most comfortable hotel bed I've ever slept in. Because it was a business trip, 12 hours of meetings, I didn't get a chance to enjoy the amenities on offer. Beautiful, big, wide-screen TV. Loved the "woman friendly" separate area for putting on make-up and the make-up mirror. Lighting could have been better for that purpose, however.

My wife and I really enjoyed our stay. We were there to just rest and relax. we enjoyed the pool...the fire pit and the ... location very much. The staff were friendly and helpful. Allison loved her massage and I enjoyed the fitness center. we enjoyed the live music that was there on sunday night and wished there would have been more of that during the week but we aren't complaining. the room was great. we'll be back for sure.

Honeymoon Suite
CJ Sep 23, 2009
This hotel was very nice, clean, big screen plasma's in the room, marble counters in the bathrooms, fridge, microwave, dvd, ... etc. The hotel has a beautiful tiki bar and pool area that opensto the beach as well. There are two views, the ocean view with a balcony is the way to go if it is available without extra cost. The only thing that I wished the resort would have provided is some sort of breakfast or coffee other than room service in the morning. Then again, I don't usually stay at resorts this nice, so I don't know if it is common for top resorts to have some sort of breakfast.

Pool was closed down after the first night. Although pets are allowed in hotel rooms, they don't tell you that they are not ... allowed anywhere else!!! This was not a good thing for us or our Abigail. We had to drive over 7 miles away from the hotel to be able to take Abigail to the beach.

GREAT HOTEL, GREAT LOCATION, GREAT LOBBY, GREAT POOL/BAR AREA AND ACCESS TO BEACH. The pillows just need to be a little ... firmer; and the toilets are so small only a child can be comfortable on them. Our TV remote worked sparingly; suggest check batteries more often.

great time!
Debbie Aug 23, 2009
We had a wonderful time at the hotel. The local area was somewhat disapointing, we had hoped it to be more like Atlantic ... City, I guess. But once we got into "relax mode" after a few days, we had the best time. Mornings on the beach with the luxury of the umbrellas and lounge chairs already set up, for a small fee, lunch at the Tiki bars, a dip in the pool and back to the beach for some more sun, waves and pure pleasure and rest. The staff couldn't be friendlier or more helpful. We missed being with the kids, although that was years ago. This is a great place for famlies, especially those with very small ones. Seeing so many famlies made our hearts melt and brought us back many years. We loved it all.

Nice hotel-expensive
Sancho Jun 29, 2009
The hotel is very nice and well decorated, good location. The room had a few problems, which they corrected when requested. ... They couldn't give me a King bed because it wasn't available, in my reservation stated king-or-double bed (2), is not always available, I didn't care much because we were with our son and at night we couldn't get a lot of play time anyway. We were with our 3 year old boy and there was no playroom for kids, I think that they need to add that to this hotel, also the staff is very friendly and nice but they need more training on the restaurant staff, the food is great but expensive. The resort fees are $15 per day and I think is an abuse because they are already charging a lot for the room. Dont use the minibar, really expensive.

Jillygooose Jun 25, 2009
This was my boyfriend and I's first trip together, and everything was perfect. The hotel location was perfect.. not too far ... from the airport and literally right next to the beach. The atmosphere was amazing and the customer service was excellent! Everything we needed, they provided. They certainly went out of their way to make our stay very wonderful. We were close to everything... parasailing, jet skiing etc so we were able to do a lot of fun activities. And the price is unbelievable!! If we ever visit Daytona again, we are definitely coming back to stay at this hotel!!

Book your room by callng the resort. Let them know what type of room you want. I booked my room online, and they put me in a room that had a handicapped access bathroom. If you don't want that, you have to tell them. It's a first come, first serve basis on their rooms.
