Crowning a cliff, overlooking its own private pink sand beach - and the turquoise waters that surround Bermuda - The Reefs is in the Southampton parish on the South Shore of the island. An intimate resort with only 65 guest rooms and suites, the resort boasts an infinity pool and an award-winning spa.
La Serena specializes in Thai massage. Beyond massage, La Serena offers a full menu of luxury spa services ranging from reflexology to facials. 5-star beach and view; 3-star rooms

Stay here for the beautiful views overlooking the ocean, the dramatic infinity-edge pool, and the soft pink-sand beaches. ... There's no need to leave this oasis - you can snorkel right from the beach and see tons of fish in the coral reef or take a kayakk out for a ride. The food (included) is also outstanding (see below). My main caution is don't stay here if you are looking for luxurious rooms or service (which for the price, you might anticipate). The rooms are more what you'd expect at a Holiday Inn - lumpy beds, rusted bathroom fixtures, no central A/C, dated furniture - but with a stunning balcony overlooking the ocean. Our first room (a Superior) was so filthy and noisy we changed the next morning. Our next room was quieter and had a spectacular view, but we had to fight off ants. Service is mediocre - the front desk was always busy or unstaffed, but eventually they would help with whatever you wanted.
Traveler type: Couples
Both restaurants we dined at (Coconuts and Ocean Echo) had excellent food (especially the lamb, steak, and Bermuda fish chowder) and magnificent views. Be sure to dine on the beach at Coconuts for an incredibly romantic date and request a table on the terrace at Ocean's Echo. The main disappointment was the very slow and inconsistent service - the food would often sit around in the kitchen and come out cold.
