Awesome place!
Greek Goddess Athena Aug 18, 2009
The Point was great! Our suite was HUGE (2 bed/2bath, full kitchen, pots, pans, utensils, lanai, washer/dryer). Only one ... thing I wish we had got a better view than the front driveway area. The Koi ponds were gorgeous, the view from the top of the resort was spectacular. The pool was big, so lots of room for everyone. My almost 2 year old was happy and comfortable. She had her own room which was also nice for Mom and Dad! 10 min walking distance to the Hyatt and Shipwreck Beach; 20 mins to Poipu Beach (simply gorgeous)! Daily housekeeping even though we thought just one. Well kept grounds.

The cabs are expensive here, so for a ride to and from the airport, take the Surf and Turf Shuttle. They charge $30 for 1-2 ppl, rather than $50+ for the taxi. Also getting food/groceries at a Walmart, Costco, or other grocery store is cheaper than dining out everyday. Besides, you can just stay in and cook in your kitchen.

The hotel is very nice.

The hotel was very nice. The staff was always helpful. However our room location was located on the ground level with no ... view. You could hear the people upstairs constantly running around.

Front desk attitude very poor
heycutie Jun 15, 2009
Point at Poipu has very nice condo units - some of the furniture is worn but still functional. Food is good at the grill and ... bar by the pool. Front desk staff seemed to go out of their way to be anything but helpful - they were rude. There is a $250 hold charge put on your credit card which is taken off at the end of your stay. Front desk screwed up and charged us $250 PLUS $550 PLUS $500. It was a pain in the butt working with them to get it corrected. Loved the room, the pool and the location. Did not like the customer service and will not go to the Point again because of bad customer service.

The Deceptive Beach
Mike M Jun 13, 2009
Deceptive advertizing-Shipwreck beach appears to be part of the property. It is not. You need to walk to the Hyatt next door ... to get to it. Well organized outings. We did the kyacking on the river. Reasonably priced. Local eateries quite good. Local food store good but a little pricey. We had a rent-a-car. Without a car it would be impossible to get around. This is a time-share facility. We had a great room with two bdrms and two brms and a great balcony with a view. I would difinetly return and recommend to a friend.

Great Facility, Location, Staff
Gucci Mar 3, 2009
This was rated as a 4 star all suite resort and it is every bit that and more. It's a fractional ownership facility that has ... a limited number of rooms available for non owners. It is very well maintained, the grounds are beautiful and you can't Poi Pu. Will stay here again in a heart beat!

A car is necessary as all activities are at least a shortdrive away.
