The Mirage, the hotel that introduced the concept of destination resort to the Las Vegas Strip, recently underwent a stunning transformation to maintain its preeminent position in what has become an increasingly competitive market. While introducing contemporary amenities designed to recapture the resort's leading-edge position, The Mirage maintains the exceptional service standards and sophisticated atmosphere that have distinguished it as a AAA Four Diamond Luxury Resort and Casino.
Once inside, a sun-lit atrium welcomes you with palm trees towering above waterfalls and pools. Already one of the most elaborate and technically advanced in the world, The Mirage aquarium recently underwent a transformation. New, brighter artificial corals evoke the exotic beauty of such tropical locales as Australia's Great Barrier Reef, while the addition of hundreds of new sea creatures provides a rare glimpse into the aquatic wonders of our planet.
The Mirage's 3,044 guest rooms and suites have undergone a $110 million dollar renovation. The new rooms will feature simple lines with an ergonomic design detailed to give a high-end feel, while warm woods and a bold color scheme transport the rooms into the realm of chic. Ultra-modern upgrades and amenities including LCD TVs and iHome MP3 docks provide everything necessary for a truly lavish experience to cater to both the leisure and business traveler (Mirage Events Center offers over 171,000-square-feet of convention space).
The Spa and celebrity stylist Kim Vo Salon, offers the latest in hair trends and treatments as well as manicures, pedicures, hair extensions and personalized makeup services. A barbershop provides men's grooming products along with traditional services. Enjoy a therapeutic massage or indulge yourself to one of our natural, soothing body and facial treatments in the new Spa at The Mirage.
The Mirage's lush tropical pool area includes two pools, three spas surrounded by waterfalls, private cabanas, and an outdoor café. Bare at The Mirage offers an exclusive adult alternative to the typical Las Vegas pool experience. With its distinctive contemporary ambiance and ultra VIP service, Bare is ideal for those wanting to relax, kick-back and socialize or turn up the music and heat up the day.
If lounging by the pool leaves you famished, try the wide variety of Fine Dining. From steak and seafood at kokomo's to Italian-American fare at Onda Ristorante, or modern contemporary Japanese cuisine at Japonais. Or, for a more casual setting stop by the Carnegie Deli (the only outpost outside of NYC), Cravings buffet, BLT Burger or the California Pizza Kitchen.
For entertainment, Cirque du Soleil's latest creation, "LOVE," showcases the music of The Beatles in a custom-built, multi-million dollar theater. Winner of "America's Got Talent," Terry Fator is the resort's resident impressionist/ventriloquist/singer/comedian. In addition, myriad lounges offer lively libations and live entertainment, and, of course, the tropical-themed casino has a wide variety of slots, video poker, and table games and a race and sports book.
*** Guests must be 21 or older to check in.
Starting Oct 1, a resort fee of $15 plus tax per room per day will be assessed at the front desk. Resort fee includes admission for 2 to the Secret Garden and Dolphin Habitat, per stay; daily newspapers and bottled water; daily access to Cardio Room (not including The Spa or fitness center); complimentary printing of boarding passes, complimentary notary services, unlimited local and toll-free calls, and free copies and faxes up to 5 pages.

Great stay!
MLP Nov 5, 2009
Loved staying at The Mirage - great location on the strip, awesome pool, a variety of restaurant options, pretty lobby, nice ... rooms, extremely comfortable beds, and the casino wasn't overwhelming. A lot of young people stayed at this hotel, but it was not too noisy at night.

Check out the 1/2 price ticket places for discounted show tickets the day of the show. Right across the street from The Mirage at Casino Royale there is one. They open at 10 and recommend that you go right away in order to get tickets to the show you want. However, we went on a Monday morning and didn't have a problem getting the tickets we wanted. I would assume that the weekends would be busier though.

Better Than The Luxor
Ohio Couple Oct 27, 2009
We stayed at the Mirage after 2 nights at the Luxor followed by 1 night at the Holiday Inn Express at the Grand Canyon and 2 ... nights at a Comfort Inn in Sedona. We were very disappointed in the the Luxor and liked the Mirage a lot better - it was bigger, cleaner, had more to do like the Secret Garden, a better pool (bigger, cleaner, better scenery), and it smelled like coconut inside rather than like smoke like the Luxor did. The check-in was much faster, the room offered a lot more amenities, etc., etc., etc.

Very nice
Bandit's mom Oct 27, 2009
We stayed at the Mirage for 5 nights. We combined a vacation with a bit of business. We loved the location of the Mirage. ... It's right in the middle of some of the nicest resorts, which makes it very nice to walk and tour around. Another day we walked down to the end where Ny, NY and the MGM are and the sidewalks are all under construction, and frankly the resorts down at this end look rather tired. After walking through the MGM we were very glad for the size of the Mirage, it's got all the amenities you need, but is not as HUGE and overwhelming as this resort. We loved our room, the housekeeping was a bit inconsistent, 2 days they came to clean the room, and also to turn down the beds, three days they didn't do turn down: but in the grand scheme of things it was no big deal. We also were glad that there was no SMELL in the casino like the Venetian & the Palazzo had. They each had this disgusting smell like the cheap deodorizers the car wash try and sells you. Our conference was at the Venetian and our eyes were burning after a while from the smell and I couldn't stand walking around in it. So all in all the Mirage is a very nice place to stay, especially for the money.

They mixed-up our accommodations with another couple and said our room was taken. Everything was too expensive. Breakfast, ... Lunch and Dinner each averaged $45 to $50 daily for two. Everytime we decided to go to AARP exhibits we had to walk great distances which was very difficult for my wife.

I thought that since they just remodeled the rooms not too long ago that everything would be pristine. Our carpet was really ... dirty and there was a tooth pick that was on the carpet when we checked in and it stayed there till we checked out so I question whether the maids were vaccuming or not. The casino also smelled smokey.

It is sad that The Mirage has chosen to spoil a perfectly lovely pool with the addition of BARE. Now, I'm no prude - if ... folks wanna go topless I'm all for it. However the music (war drums) from BARE bleed into the atmosphere of the rest of the lovely pool that The Mirage has built - hence music from the club creates dissonance with the music piped into the regular pool areas creating a lousy sonic atmosphere & impacting our lounge time in horrid ways. Bottom line - we left. Boooooo!

Do not remove anything from the mini bar, unless u actually want it. We removed a few things to make room for our leftovers, and then put the stuff back in the fridge when we were done, but apparently there is a sensor that knows when u reove the stuff and charges it to your room. Just keep that in mind! They did go up to the room at check out and removed the charges from our room once they checked that everything was still there!

Dont spend your money on cabs. The bus can take you anywhere on the strip or downtown that you need to go. Its only $3.00 a ride whether your going 1 block or 20. Have the correct change and you wont have a problem. The blocks are very very long in Las Vegas and the bus is a lifesaver.
