Dublin is a great time
Cole and Matt Nov 16, 2009
My boyfriend and I had a great time with our trip. The hotel was one block away from the entrance to St Stephen Green- a 10 ... minute walk to Grafton Street - and a 20 min walk to Temple Bar. This was perfect for us because we loved walking the city and taking in the culture. The room was tidy and towels were changed daily and the bed was always made but there appeared to be mold on the ceiling. Also there are no bars or pubs around the hotel at all so you need to make the trip into city centre for any type of nightlife.

I would ABSOLUTELY look into the Rural Pub Tour- gives your a great chance to explore popular moutain pubs and meet the locals with a knowledgable guide and a designated driver. Great fun and a good way to meet people from all over

Great Location!!!
anna Oct 24, 2009
hotel was very cute and in a great location! safe area, and easily walkable to other locations in Dublin. The staff was very ... nice and helpful. Our rooms were big and clean and the beds were very comfortable. Only thing I did not like ( but this is the case throughout all of Ireland it seems) is no fan or a/c! it got kind of stuffy and hot inside the room so we opened the window at night, but it was very noisy because their was a nightclub a few doors down. Also tv had only abut 5 channels, but h well.Otherwise no complaints... a very safe nice area to walk in, even at night,

Hard to be objective after being robbed
MB the traveler Oct 16, 2009
We used the Leeson Inn as a base to explore Dublin and beyond, using public transportation. It was reasonably close to ... shopping areas and St. Stephen's Green and very close to the airport bus. Friday and Saturday night loud music and talking went on at a nearby club until at least 3:30 a.m. Otherwise it was quiet. It was necessary to be buzzed in by a person who was usually at the desk. The lobby was small and had no usable tables. The hotel offers Wi-Fi, but has no computers available for use by guests. There were no elevators, and one stairway was always blocked with clean or dirty linens. The room was quite small and stuffy, with no way to adjust the temperature, although the window did open. In the week we were there, we only got one bar of soap, so we had to shift it from sink to tub. The towels were fresh every day, but did not include washcloths. Breakfast was extra (which we learned only on check-out) and so-so. IF we had known, we would have eaten elsewhere. The worst part is was the theft. Someone with a key, possibly the maid, opened my zipped luggage, found my wallet in my purse, took all my folding money. and then closed everything back up. Leeson Inn has not offered even an apology. Otherwise, hotel was adequate for our purposes, not as good as other hotels we were have stayed. We did have a terrific time in Dublin and beyond, but it was not because of the Leeson Inn.

Staff was very nice and helpfull. Great location for walking. Noisy outside due to clubs being below the building. Rooms ... very small. However it serves the purpose. We where there to see the country not to say in the room. Note no elevator if staying on the third floor

Decent hotel for price
The Traveling Duo Oct 11, 2009
Decent hotel for the price. The hotel isn't the newest, however it is very easily accessed by public transportation from the ... airport, close to town, and in a quiet neighborhood near a beautiful park. Recommend this hotel if you're trying to live a little more economically in Dublin. Room was clean and tidy.

Dirty, Rude and Unsafe

First off the pictures are NOT what the hotel is-they are of some other hotel. I did not sleep for 3 days, and after the 2nd ... day came down with a high grade fever, soar throat, stomache pains and migrane. The front desk did not care there was a disco right below my window, and would not switch my room. My room had no phone, clock, or alarm. Not an IRISH hotel...most of the front desk did not speak english.

Awesome location! We got a great rate, so weren't too disappointed that the bathroom makeover was pretty low-quality. ... However, rooms have been nicely made-over. Not great TV reception and 3 channels, so bring a book for bedtime! Staff is friendly overall. Continental breakfast is a huge rip-off. Walk next door to cafe for good coffee and reasonable prices. Overall, would stay there again.
