The hotel is, without question, located in one of the most spectacular sites in the world, the majestic valley of the pitons (Val des Pitons). The beauty of the pitons within the pitons management area, listed by UNESCO as a world heritage site, is unparalleled. The staff is unobtrusive and the atmosphere lends to a truly intimate and relaxed feeling at the resort. Specialized and personalized services are available, white private functions can be arranged in the meeting room or any of the breath taking location at the resort. Luxurious villa accommodations are set within the tropical hillside, with spectacular views of the piton mountain and the ocean. The jalousie plantation is home to the only white sand beach in the area, with opportunities for fantastic snorkeling. There are a wide selection of the activities are available, including PADI certified diving. The resort is spread over one hundred and ninety-two acres of tropical forest unsurprised for its natural beauty. The surprised children's club on site provides a fun packed and educational atmosphere. Jalousie is located in Soufriere, Saint Luica's most historic town with a drive-in volcano, botanical garden and waterfalls in close proximity. Oprah Winfrey, in the May 2005 issue of O Magazine, has endorsed the pitons as the number one things to see in your lifetime.

Honeymoon at Jalousie
FLHTC Oct 26, 2009
We spent 6 nights at Jalousie for our honeymoon. It was excellent. Despite ongoing renovations at the resort, the stay was ... wonderful and far exceeded our expectations. This was the best trip that either of us has ever been on and both of us have done a fair amount of past traveling. We will definately return in the future. Make sure you go all-inclusive.

There isn't much going on in St. Lucia. I wouldn't bother with the local attractions. The resort is much nicer.

Banana Ketchup Rocks!
Woh Donkey Jun 26, 2009
Awesome Location! Room 301 had a great view! We did not like the first room we were in so we asked to be moved to a ... different room, 301 which was great. We got to look at the new rooms with option to upgrade but chose not to because it was right next to the construction. The bathrooms in there were amazing though. We liked the old rooms just as well though. The views were more important to us. The Great Room has amazing service and amazing food! The Bayside Lunches were ok. Breakfast buffet was very good. Loved the bagels and pancakes. If you happen to try the fries at lunch makes sure you try the banana ketchup and west indies hot sauce. Both are great! I also recommend going all inclusive. Best deal for the money and you don't have to have the worry about how much the bill will be. We def ate and drank our monies worth.

The Great Room is AMAZING!

Water taxi service was very professional but expensive. $60 USD round trip for 2 going 15 minutes away to Anse Chastenet. Snorkeling area at Jalousie beach is a bit smaller than I would have guessed from the advertisements. Also, very few reef fish compared to what we normally see at the SPA areas in the Florida Keys.

Nice and helpful staff
Joseph Jun 18, 2008
The location is amazing. Landscaping, beach, all add to the natural beauty. The room was nice overall with privacy and a ... incredible view. Paddle fan had a paddle broken off which distracted from the nice room with vaulted ceiling. Vanity area with very poor mirror and lighting could have been nice if useable. Shower head was loose, somewhat clogged giving a poor shower. The drain barely worked leaving you standing in water and the shower curtain was too short resulting in water on the floor. Private plunge pool was green and cloudly, unuseable until Monday when maintainence fixed the pump and light. Unlike other reviews, we thought the food was really good but hard to enjoy at the prices. Exploring the local area is discouraged, for example hiking tail maps are not available. Kayaking to Coral Gardens for more snorkeling was discouraged. They want you to pay a snorkleling boat to take you where they want to go. The staff does a great job with the complimentary activites, just be prepared to pay significantly for offsite transportation and/or excursions.
