Well suited for our visit
Apple-knocker Oct 29, 2009
The motel was very clean & the room was very nice. The host was especially gracious, even provided us with a cork screw & ... wine glasses for our wine. Motel is close to the beach for nice walks. Restaurants & shopping is not close, but we walked a couple of miles each night to eat (and enjoyed the walk). The pool/common area is ordinary & shaded. Photo does exaggerate the actual setting. The price was right & we would use them again.

Santa Barbara is one of our Favorite get aways, but normally very expensive. The Inn at East Beach Was a great Value ... considering it's competition. It was very clean and Quiet. Across the street from the beautiful Beach. We felt very safe there and will go back. It s about a mile walk to the Pier, but we enjoyed it. You can catch the 25 cent trolly there to downtown if you time it right. We go to SB for the great food , beach and shopping. We often drive up there for various acoustic music Venues.

Pleasantly surprised with newly renovated/refurbished rooms. Room and bathroom was spacious, thick towels and good bath ... toiletries, bedding was very comfortable. Owner was very pleasant and friendly. Only downside were room walls are thin and noise carries from outside or rooms next door.

This property is about a mile form the action on State Street, but only a block from the beach. Public trolley runs at ... convenient times and allows you to skip the madness and cost of parking off State Street. Great continental breakfast and amiable staff (especially [...]). The pool is okay, but we sure would have enjoyed a jacuzzi dip after beating the streets all day. We will return for sure. [...]

This is a nice place that looks rather like a cheap motel on the outside, but has very nice (recently redecorated) rooms that ... look like they belong in a nicer hotel, although the color scheme was a bit drab. spectowolfy Oct 6, 2009
Very friendly and helpful service. The rooms were modern and fun. There was a good continental breakfast which included ... jalapeno bagels, an assortment of pastries, bread, cereals, juices, coffee, and don't forget to ask about the "bagel guillotine!" The beach was a short walk from the inn, along with many fine restaurants and shopping. Very classy area which was very quiet.

Room was clean and appeared to be newly refurbished-when first saw the internet picture of the turquoise and brown room ... wasn't too sure about it, but was actually very nice - clean and modern. There was some noise when upstairs guests came into room, but nothing terrible (might have been an issue if they hadn't gone to bed right away). Host was extremely friendly and very helpful. The continental breakfast was quite nice and had a very nice variety to choose from. All in all, altho quick, a very pleasant stay.

Cool boutique hotel
Kanzo Oct 4, 2009
Newly renovated rooms (June 2009), beautiful contemporary design. Very surprised! Friendly reception and helpful service, ... voucher for free appetizers at nearby restaurant as inn did not have room service or restaurant available. Plenty options for restaurants in walking distance and other restaurants delivering to the inn. Best Continental Breakfast with wonderful pastries from local bakery. 1 block from the ocean and beaches. Plenty of information regarding local activities and happenings/entertainment. Will stay over again! Had noisy neighbors, but they calmed down soon after we requested they move conversation into room!

Just a quick overnite before visiting Westmont College. Super comfortable beds. Nice flat screen TV. No frills bath but ... has upgraded fixtures, mini-fridge and iron. Continental breakfast was much more than the usual "continental", high quality foods and more than enough for all of us. Frank was very nice and as advertised, a part of the experience! It's a short taxi cab ride (which can get a bit pricey if you don't watch it), but there is a public trolly/bus that goes to downtown for 25 cents (that's right!). If you're traveling north on the Pacific Highway 1, then definitely take route 154 thorugh the santa Barbara mountains/wine country.
