This was one of the nicest places we have stayed at in Mexico. The staff went out of their way to help you. There was a ... buffet or special priced meal every day and a large variety of different types of food.

La Isla Mall very close to the resort had the best of everything. Once we discovered it we did not find it necessary to go into Acapulco itself which was very congested and difficult to get to.

Staff in the lazy river area were supernice. Walls are very thin so you can hear everything. Room service and food at other ... restaurants was not that great and pretty pricey. I would definately go out for dining options. Always request your car from your room, so that you are not waiting as they can get pretty busy during peak hours. Loved the location since it was close to the airport but convenient to other attractions.

For great Chinese food you have to try Chi-Palace on Simon Bolivar Avenue in the Costa Azul area, food and service is truely excellent.

The hotel is amazingly beautiful; very well kept, the personnel is very courteous and constantly cleaning and making sure you ... have everything you need. The pools are wonderful just as the beach area, wich is very clean and has a lifeguard at all times. The food is wonderful. My children loved the place and we all had a wonderful time&I would definitively recommend this place.

Very Family Friendly
Julie Jan 2, 2009
The Grand Mayan Acapulco is a great place for families. We had an awesome trip and would stay here again. We have 2 boys ... (ages 4 and 6) and there was plenty for them to do. The pool is gorgeous. The beach is one of the best we have ever seen. The sunsets are beautiful. We truly liked everything about this resort. The resort is about 25 minutes from downtown Acapulco. This didn't bother us because we had everything we needed at the resort and downtown seemed to be too crowded. You can get a nice cab driver at the resort to take you around.

Go to Kookabura's. The food is good and the view (in the evening) is spectacular.

A Real Palace!!!
Angela Jun 16, 2008
The Grand Mayan is an amazing place. I went for an all-girls weekend with my mom, sister, and best friend. We had a great ... time laying out by the pool, participating in activities (volleyball, water aerobics, and salsa lessons), and walking down the beach. The only negative aspects were not being able to get an ocean-view room and being relatively far from the center of Acapulco(15 min). Other than that, the hotel grounds are majestic and the attention to detail was incredible. I would definitely recommend this hotel for a relaxing time at the beach!
