I prepaid on Orbitz and then was told when I got to the Hotel/Casino, that I had to pay a $5.00 resort fee even though I ... checked in at 10:00 p.m. and was out the door at 7:00 a.m. so I didn't use any of the RESORT??? stuff. I think it is awful that they are allowed to do this. I asked for them to waive it and they wouldn't. I won't be staying here again!

Nightmare at the Courtyard a
No nickname Sep 21, 2009
The stay was hideous. We requested non-smoking ,adjoining rooms, one with two beds. We were placed on a smoking floor (I ... have asthma, and was told they could not help me), one bed in each room, which meant two teen-agers shared one bed! We faced the freeway, so could not even vent the smoky room. I went up three levels of management (at least that is what I was told) but no help. The pool at the hotel was closed and we could use the one at the other hotel, if we walked through two parking lots and a casino. I would rate it as one of my least favorite overnight stays. The worst part is they kept insisting that the non-smoking rooms I requested were only a request, and they did not have to honor a request. Why make a reques then? NEVER AGAIN!!!!!

Beautiful location. It's right across the street from the movie theatres. In & Out Burgers is right down the street, so is 7 ... Eleven. The rooms are nice and comfy. Nice pool, wish they had a jacuzzi though. Great money saver. 18+ can check in/out! Overall great hotel. :)

Cheap tickets indicated that we had paid in full. The hotel charges $5/day for misc. Cheap tickets should not have said we ... were paid in full! Also, the Courtyard at the Nugget is under highway 80 and not attached to the main hotel. Very disappointing.

one-night stand
Maniktala May 28, 2009
I was there with a couple of friends for just one night. Our primary purpose was to crash into our beds after having checked ... out downtown Reno late in the night. The bed was very comfortable and we had a good night's sleep. The room, however, felt old and in fact had a door adjoined with another room. The noises from the adjacent room could be easily heard and were disturbing. Also, when we checked in, we were asked for a $5 "resort fee" (if I'm not mistaken) whereas the deal didn't talk about it at all when we'd made the booking over the internet.

Good deal. May 28, 2009
The price was great. The facility was pretty clean except the toilet bowl. The shower pressure was not even. The hotel could ... use some renovations. I would go back again because of the price.

Millhouse May 27, 2009
The room was average. Clean, not too noisy. I thought it was in a good location near downtown Sparks. I liked that we ... could use the indoor pool over at the new Nugget hotel across the streeet. However, there was no hot water. None. I told the clerk about it the next day who was very indifferent. Go somewhere else.

A Casino hotel
Murray Nov 29, 2008
Like most Casino hotels, the price was great and many of the restaurants in the Casino are open all night. Since I don't ... gamble and was in Reno to visit family, the price and amenities worked great for me. In fact, that's how you beat the Casinos: snap up the cheap hotel rooms and eat in their inexpensive restaurants. Just walk right past the slot machines--there's no way that you will beat them.

Great location and value
Carl Oct 19, 2008
The courtyard in was in a excellent location, close to movie theaters, a varied assortment of restaurants, entertainment, all ... within walking distance and just off the freeway. The room was generous in size and had a table and chairs and seating at the vanity. Lots of room to hang clothes and we did not feel cramped for space. Although it is an older building on the outside, it was quite comfortable inside, with coffee available each morning in the lobby.
