The Chelsea Annex is a great deal

The Chelsea Annex is not as nice as the regular Chelsea, but it's a great deal. The rooms are older and the view is bad, but ... who cares when you are in AC. The room was very clean (which is the most important thing to me) and had that swanky vibe that the Chelsea has. They didn't renovate the rooms completely, but there is new carpet, paint, and accessories which cleans it up and makes it cool.The ice machine is almost impossible to find, so bring your own bag. I would definitely recommend staying at the Annex if you are on a budget. One negative point is that they charge a $125 to your credit card when you check in for damages which will come off your card when you check out, BUT if you use a debit card, it can take up to 2 weeks to get back into your account. They didn't tell me not to use a debit card which was not cool.

I had low expectations and even after that I was disappointed. The worse would have to have been the sheets with fresh blood ... on them and the bathroom smell of urine and mold. The area gets very loud at night.

C5 the club floor of the hotel was a great time...if you are a hotel guest there isn't a cover charge. We enjoyed very much the 5 beautiful rooms the club had to offer.

The hotel was very swanky and retro in style. The valet service was great and the staff was friendly upon check-in. One of ... the rooms they gave us hadn't been cleaned when we opened the door, so we had to wait for housekeeping to come back and clean it. The housekeeping staff knocked on the door in the morning to ask what time we were checking out, which I thought was inappropriate...I will check out by the check out time is basically how I responded. I used the concierge button on the phone which always rang without answer, requiring me to call the front desk each time.
