Menus at each restaurant didn't change much. Windows, at an extra price, was excellant. Ginger, and Red Parrot were ... good. Having to go to the bar & for snacks all the time was a drag. I've stayed all inclusives where the liquor & snacks were available in rooms, and out on the beach. We had a minor fall and the help was very helpful. The shows were okay. Place is great for snorkel, scuba, and youthful endeavors.

My wife and I had the best time ever, and were not ready to come home! Everything about the Tamarijn was perfect. The entire ... staff was really friendly, and helped you out with everything. The room was great, and the view from the room was spectacular. Also the food was outstanding, and the use of the Divi resort was a plus. Couldn't ask for a better time, will be going back!!!

Second Trip to Tam still in love
Coconuts Sep 22, 2009
We love the Tam. My husband and I spent our honeymoon there and decided to bring back our friends a couple years later. I ... can not say what a great place it is to stay. The food is awesome drinks are strong and there is always something going on. The best is the rooms they are all ocean front. Both trips we traveled in September and this is the perfect time it is not to packed since it is off peak. The service is very good we did encounter some rude bartenders but the good that comes from the Tam overcomes thier negative attitude. I would recommend this resort to everyone. For the price, view, food and drinks you can not beat it. You will want to come back

Great Place, Great Price
Michelle C Sep 18, 2009
The vacation was all inclusive so we didn't have to worry about running out of cash for food as long as we ate at the resort. ... The food was pretty good for all inclusive "hotel food". If you want to eat at most of the on site restaurants you are required to make reservations in advance which can be a bit annoying but eating at the buffet as an alternative isn't such a bad option and does not require any reservations. The staff was always courteous and we had no complaints. The hotel hosted daily and activities and nightly entertainment too. They even offered a free shuttle service to take you back and forth between the two all inclusive hotels (Divi and Tam) and a shuttle to take you to the casino, but everything was in walking distance regardless. We would definately go back and plan on returning to Aruba and the Tamarin in the future

One of the best vacation experience
Happy Couple Sep 16, 2009
We really enjoyed the Tamarijn and Divi all inclusive. The rooms were very clean and comfortable. We loved going right from ... our patio to the warm sandy beach and the water a close distance away from our room. The food at the Red Parrot was very delicious and [...] the waiter was the best. [...] was the best bartendar at the Tamarijn. The staff was very helpful and friendly. We have never taken advantage of the all inclusive and we would do it again. We definitely will plan on visiting the Divi locations again.

Only complaint is that we assumed we'd get an oceanfront room since the webiste says they have only oceanfront rooms but we ... were actually put in the Duth Village suites. It was roomier and nice but would rather trade the space to stay right on the beach. Still very close to the ocean and had a great stay. Food was excellent and staff was always very friendly.

Great week in the sun
Beach lover Aug 25, 2009
Just got back from spending a week at the Tamarijn. I would definitely recommend this resort if you want a relaxing ... vacation. It was great. My group was 4 girls ages 22-25. We literally had the beach as our backyard, and there were 2 pools and a hot tub very close by as well. We tried to take full advantage of everything. We went kayaking, rock climbing, and snorkeling-all part of the all inclusive. We decided to do a few things off the resort (horseback riding on the beach and parasailing), but the staff at the Tam took care of all the booking plans for us. The food was really good too at the buffet and even better at the restaurants. Service was unbeatable, everyone is so nice!

Good Times!
D.Ro, The Good Times Queen Aug 19, 2009
I went with my boyfriend. When we got there we were told that the adjoining Divi Inclusive is more quiet and is better for ... couples. However, we still enjoyed ourselves even though there were a lot kids. I loved my room at the Tamarijn--it was on the first floor. I could walk out to my back patio and a few feet away was the beach. (BTW, when you first get in the water there are some serious pebbles and small rocks on the shore, but once you're about 6-8 feet into the water it's nice:) Also, people get to the beach about 8am to claim beach chairs and all that. So it was really nice just setting up on our patio:) I enjoyed breakfast there because I always order an omelette and got fruit. I didn't really eat the a la carte breakfast food, so I can't comment on that. Lunch was good but it became a little redudant. But it's an all inclusive and a la carte is what it is, so I wasn't that mad at it. I enjoyed going to the different restaurants for dinner. I didn't find the quality of food to be better, but I like the diversity of options. In terms of all inclusives, I would say that the food was good but you might want to treat yourself to one night out on the town. However, overall I enjoyed the food. Also, I drank a lot and the drinks were good:) I took a windsurfing and kayaking class. That was fun! But I wasn't able to take the snorkel class I signed up for because they gave out all equipment earlier that morning. That was disappointing. I thought they should reserve enough equipment for the class and release them if there were no shows. But c'est la vie! Overall, I loved my trip there. There's something for everyone. I think it's a good value for the price. And I am thinking about going back there soon.

Awesome Honeymoon
Our happy island Aug 17, 2009
Aruba is incredible. Were in our early 40's and the island was perfect. Take advantage of all that's offered and then find ... the local areas to see. The shopping and water activities were fun and abundant. Even though food was paid for we found some excellent local spots serving up Arubian food that were superior to what the resorts offered. Ask anybody anything and they go out of their way to help you.

Traveling prof Aug 16, 2009
I thoroughly enjoyed my time at the Tamarijn. I did a lot of research before we booked our trip, and the Tamarijn seemed to ... have everything we were looking for in a vacation. While the rooms are basic and not luxurious like some beach resorts, only having to walk a few steps to claim a spot on an uncrowded beach is wonderful. You can go to the center of the resort where it is a little busier with music and other guests or enjoy the quiet beach outside of your room. We visited one of the high rise resorts that we decided against and I was so happy we stayed at the Tamaijn. The other place was a zoo and incredible crowded! The food at the Tamarijn was wonderful. We definitely came back a few pounds heavier. The drink of the day was a fun addition to our relaxation time by the water. Also, being shuttled back and forth from the Divi was a nice way to have access to additional restaurants and shops.
Traveler type: Couples
Tour the island with ABC tours. They have a day long tour that is well worth the money and a lot of fun! Also, their tour is a more reasonable price than some of the other larger companies and you see more and spend more time touring the island. They pick you up and drop you off at your hotel. Also, if you are lucky you get to drive the range rover.

Don't worry about bringing a lot of clothes, it not needed. I was told by many to bring bug spray but I didn't use it once. Save your money and rent a car or Jeep. You get to see more with your own rental then taking any of the tours that they have.

To get dinner reservations for the next day make them right after you have finished breakfast. If for some reason you can't get a reservation, go to the restaurant you want to have dinner at around 6:00pm and ask if they have room for you and your guest for dinner that evening, we were never turned away.

5 minute walk from the supermarkets and small mall, got enough souvenires to take home. Downtown has more shopping to offer, short ride by bus for $2.60 round trip, also another casino downtown to visit. All the shopkeepers can give you the amount in their currency or american dollars. People in Aruba like Americans a lot and mean it. They don't take advantage of the tourists.
