Good room, nasty pool & hot tub
9ers Faithful Sep 29, 2009
Ok rooms with a friendly staff. Good location. Just don't expect to go in the pool or hot tub. The hot tub wasn't very "hot" ... and the pool and hot tub both had MOLD growing in the filters!! My son was VERY disappointed!!

Location the only plus

Had a queen bed and the room was so small the bed was against the wall. had to climb over to get out of bed. smoke alarm was ... dangling from the wall, but appeared to work. The bed was very uncomfortable and the people above us sounded like they were going to come through the ceiling at any time. Went to the State Fair and the location was perfect. Super 8
traveler Jul 31, 2009
I went to Roseville for business. The first room they gave us was an old office right next to the elevator. It was very ... dirty, loud and uncomfortable. Once we complained they gave us a better room. The staff was very helpful and friendly. The hotel severed its purpose, but did not impress.

I declared, "This was the BEST vacation ever!", reflecting on our fun two-day excursion as a family. My daughter said it ... best when she said, "Except for the HOTEL!!!" We were all disgusted as images of our hotel room came to our mind including moldy caulk peeling off of the shower, other bathroom grime, two bugs on the ceiling and two beds forced into an already small room.

Worst Hotel I've stayed at recently
Whatever Jun 4, 2009
I couldn't sleep; the room had noise from the road outside the window, noise from the adjacent elevator and an old stiff ... broken bed with only 2 dilapidated pillows for 2 people. The owners were foreign and cheap on everything such as soap, towels, pillows and the continental breakfast. Don't stay here.

Stay Anywhere Else
Charles Sep 2, 2008
Yhis was our first experience with Super 8 motels, and it will probably preclude us from ever using this chain again. Except ... for the hotel's convenient location, everything else associated with our stay was unsatisfactory. Starting with check-in, there was only one attendant, and she ws sexceptionally slow in handling the one person in line in front of me. After 5 minutes of waiting withourt eye contact as she conversed with the person in front of me, I considered leaving for a meal elsewhere. And regarding Super 8's breakfast meal - the lines were long, no seats were available on 4 of 6 mornings that we tried to eat there, food ran out without replacement on two mornings, and the menu was all starches - fat food - without any protein such as scrambled eggs or boiled eggs. The elevator was the slowest I've seen anywhere in the world (I travel a lot), and the room had a malfunctioning clock radio and smoke alarm. The smoke alarm was removed by hotel staff and never replaced during our stay. On the weekend portion of our stay, the noise in the hallways was excessive - keeping us awake until about 1:00 am in the morning. All n all, this is probably the worst experience I've ever had.

What a Dump
Steven Jul 11, 2008
I had stayed at this hotel a couple of years ago and was very pleased. However, since then, this place has become a run down ... dump of a place. The walls and ceilings show patch marks that don't match the paint. The coffee maker in my room didn't have a carafe to make the coffee in. Overall, the place was a dump. I will never stay there again.

The Hotel let us check in early which was really nice. The breakfast was a joke but what do you expect for a continental ... breakfast. Also we were told we couldn't go barefoot down to the pool. Which I thought was weird. Other than that it was fine.

Good for the short term traveler
Linda Mar 11, 2008
The Super 8 Motel in Roseville,MN was a clean and comfortable budget motel.I was there overnight for two days of business in ... St.Paul and Minneapolis. It is within a 10 minute walk to a major mall and a good sized satellite mall with a wide variety of stores and food establishments, with additional eateries easily reached by car. I did not use any of the motel facilities, but the television screen had a green tint on every channel tried. The staff checked the TV and without hesitation removed it and replaced it with a different fully functioning TV immediately. We would stay there again for a similar short trip.
