first, had to spray the room, had to fix the toilet seat(can't believe it was cleaned and not turned into maintenance), door ... was difficult to shut(got back at 1100pm one night and maid service had not shut door completely), had trouble with electrical outlets, sink faucet leaked, no maid service on two days(left room at 1115am and 100pm those days) we were there for four days. when we first walked in the room we considered leaving and just forfeiting what we had paid; wish we had.

Hotel is in good condition. Good Air Conditioning is important to me and I was impressed with the digital thermostats on the ... A.C. unit in my room. My room had a chair with a foot stool, both were on rollers that made it easy to move around the room. The room had plenty of space and was larger than I expected for the price I paid. All the staff was friendly and helpful.

Our trip was planned around a few days at World's of Fun which is conveniently located across the highway. I will never stay ... in that Super 8 Motel again and will not recommend it to others.

Family Vacation

We were seeking a location with close proximity to Worlds/Oceans of Fun at somewhat of a cost savings. The first thing we ... noticed that it was cluttered, run-down and towels in many of the doorways to prevent cigarette smoke from entering the room. Our room was "non-smoking" but as we slept, the smoke infiltrated our room as well and it was as if we had been smoking in our room ourselve-- we ARE NOT smokers and felt sick in the morning. The bathroom was discusting (hair all over the floor and bathtub that was not our own) and the sheets had smoke burns along with the brillow pad of a blanket; the mattress was so worn down that it would sink in the middle. The fire alarms were going off as we left but our fire alarm wasn't working in our room (my husband is a firefighter). The outside of the hotel was littered with old mattresses and old air conditioners. The pool was so merky that I doubt it's ever been properly cleaned. Breakfast was stale and the orange juice had an after taste of bleach. My family refers to this hotel as a bad learning experience and now refers to all Super-8s as "Super-Dumps" instead. Thanks for the family joke-

Not what I expected

I am usually satisfied with Super 8 Hotels, however this one was pretty dirty and the staff was out front smoking when we ... arrived. We had no do not distrub sign to use, therefore housekeeping was knocking on the door early to make up the room. The towels were very scratchy. The deal breaker was the air conditioner. It kept me up nearly all night it was SO loud. Also, the room was very hot when we arrived, all rooms should have at least air flowing in them before guests arrived. The breakfast area was interesting to say the least. The waffle maker was functional but the timer only went off when you opened the unit, not when the waffle was done. Someone had spilled syrup in the microwave and my plate stuck to it... YUCK. It will be a LONG time before I use a Super 8 hotel again, if ever.

We had a problem with our car, and the desk clerk gave great directions to a Firestone garage that we inquired about. They ... also, let us leave our second car at the hotel when we went to Worlds of Fun; which in return save us a $10.00 parking fee for that car.

Easy accessible to casino's

The rooms were large, but the beds were a little hard. Had good closet space. It was only two miles from the ameristar ... casino, and four miles from the Harrah's casino.

At the Super 8 the rooms were clean and the staff was friendly. The refrigerator and microwave in the room was a definite ... plus. The only thing I really found wrong was the continental breakfast. The food was fine, but it was the most limited selection I've seen: Cold cereal, Waffles, Bagels and Toast, Coffee, Tea, Milk and Juice. Most places offer hot cereal and fruit. I really missed the fruit. We sould stay there again, but I would take bananas with me!
