The staff at this Super 8 were very friendly and helpful. The personal customer service was outstanding. The suite I stayed ... in had high ceilings and a reasonable size. It included the usual amenities plus a large screen projection TV at the foot of the bed. The room was very clean and neat. Continental breakfast, evening dessert, and a check-in gift were provided. Two fast food restaurants were within easy walking distance. The free airport shuttle came in very handy as well. This Super 8 is among the best. Unfortunately, I can not give it a perfect rating due to a security issue. I left my room during the day for approximately 4 hours, and when I returned the door had been propped open with the internal safety latch bar between the frame and the door. The room had been cleaned, but there was nobody around. Nobody was in the room or within sight of it in the hallway. Luckily, nothing was missing. I believe that propping the door open in this manner could not happen by accident and it is a concern that I hope this hotel will address.

Wow! I never would have guessed the best place I have ever stayed so far would be a Super 8. We were on a weekend getaway ... trip. I was impressed from the beginning when I recieved a free goodie bag when we checked in, with some little chocolate bars, a bottle of water, and some chips. Can you think of any time you stayed at a motel or hotel and recieved some good free stuff!? We all know we usually have to be carefull not to eat whatever food is provided in the regular places because we will Definitly be charged extra later! lol Our room was great, with a nice good sized fridge, HUGE TV, dvd player, and even a microwave! Can you believe that? And this was just the regular king bed room. There was a notebook with all the information you might want to know, including all the resturants in the area with a map,(which came in handy). Every evening there is free cake and cookies in the lobby. The free breakfast the next morning was a nice surprise, it was the best I have ever seen. People where making fresh waffles even. Check it out, you'll be glad you did!

If you are going to San Marcos to the outlet stores make sure not to get on the freeway as you will be routed the wrong way.

Great Price for a Good Stay

My wife and I were expecting the worst and were happily surprised. Customer service was top notch. When we walked in our room ... we did not hesitate to take a deep breath and smell how fresh the room was. The sheets smelled like home detergent not some commercial cheap concentrate. The television was as good as I have ever had in a hotel. Though, it was not in HD. The only problem with my entire stay was the shower. It had no bottom and water would run out if we were not careful. Poor design but did not take away from the room enough to say it was bad. For the price, I would definitely recommend this to anyone.

Well, first time I've gone to a Super 8. I usually pass them by on my way to other motels. This time I decide to give it a ... try. The price was very reasonable and so I was able to get 2 rooms: one for us and one for our teenagers and their friends. This Super 8 was so clean and nice. If I go back to Austin, I will definitely do my best to stay there again. Big hotel service with very reasonable prices!

This hotel has SO MUCH MORE than what you'd expect from a Super 8! Super friendly staff~Room was great: fridge, microwave, ... comfortable bed and a first for us: a computer in the room with FREE internet access. Business center in the lobby area with 2 computers and a printer, also free. Great shuttle service to and from the airport. Loads of DVDs in the lobby to take to your room and watch (free). Bookcase of books to borrow. Free parking. Better than average continental breakfast. This family run hotel aims to please! Would definitely stay there again!

Got in late and tired. Greeted by very friendly staff and provided with a small "goodie" bag of snacks and candy. Room was ... very clean and bed very comfortable. Changed our attitude about Super 8 motels. Usually not our choice of places to stay. Breakfast was hot and selection was about the same as most competitors. State of Texas shaped waffles was a kick for us Northeners!

Fast food restaurant just down the parking lot from motel proved to be a disappointment. About 10PM and door sign indicated dining room was open until Midnight but it was locked. Back to motel parking lot for our car, back to restaurant. Questioned clerk at drive through why the sign discrepancy. Only answer was a rude "Don't ask me" and a shrug of the shoulders. Expected better from any restaurant in the same parking lot of a hotel.

SUPER 8 MOTEL AUSTIN AIRPORT AREA SOUTH WAS A GREAT STAY THE LONGHORN SUITE WAS HUGE AND CHEAP WILL STAY AGAIN WHEN I AM IN ... AUSTIN FOR A LONGHORN GAME. EVERYTHING WAS WITHIN 5 MINUTES DRIVING TIME SHOPPING, DINING, ANDTHE UNIVERSITY. AWESOME LOCATION!!!!!

For the money, this is the very best hotel we have ever stayed in. From the friendly staff, to the many ammenities with ... every room, it was truly a quality hotel. We were all very pleasantly surprised. The room had just about everything you could put in it for comfort. Even got a little gift bag when we checked in with some treats.

I was pleasantly surprised to find that a "super 8" had such a large, comfortable room. It had a variety of pillows, a ... "therapeutic" bed, a huge TV, clean soft towels. Also received a gift bag upon checking in with a few snacks in it. Room and lobby were clean and well kept. Would definitely stay there again.

Beautiful facility on the edge of Austin- not so close but not so far- a bargain accomodation that will leave feeling like ... you got a great deal. Rooms are spacious and brand new- Huge TV/DVD/Frig/Wireless/Coffe pot/ Free breakfast What else could you want for the price?

On recent trip my granddaughters, ages 7 & 8, and I stayed for a week in the Super 8. The room was clean, the daily service ... was excellent; without exception, the staff was helpful, personable and professional. The morning breakfast was light, with a variety of choices including waffles in the shape of Texas. A dessert bar is provided in the evening, along with a small selection of movies, in the lobby. Fax was made available with courteous efficiency. I plan to stay again and have recommended the Super 8 to my fellow travelers.

this was the best Super 8 motel I have ever stayed in . the staff, the room & the location were fantastic . this motel is 2 ... min. from the Austin airport and 10 min from Dowmtown. The staff was friendly and helpful and the building appears to be new and spotless . and the room had a therapeutic bed that was wonderful!

Exceptional service and quality for an affordable price. Business travelers stay hewre and be surprised. Free shuttle to and ... from airport and all of the amenities that would expect in a more expensive hotel are just the beginning. This friendly hotel goes the extra mile to make sure you are comfortable. It doesn't hurt that everything feels brand new. Great value and fantastic service!

The Super 8 Austin was more than we expected. Although we've stayed at Super 8's before, we've never stayed at one that ... offered such deluxe accommodations for a reasonable price, included a Welcome Bag of goodies, full 'hot' breakfast and evening treats. It was close to the airport which worked well for us with our late arrival and early departure. We were so impressed we booked it for another night. One thing it did lack was a pool/hot tub.
