This hotel was absolutely terrible. I have never had such a bad experience at a hotel. The hotel had a broken deadbolt and ... they were unable to give us another room. Because my friends and I did not feel comfortable staying in a first floor room with exterior door that anyone on the street could walk up to we ended up leaving without even spending more than a minute in the room. The hotel staff on duty would not refund our money but because of the unsafe conditions we ended up driving back home that night. I have never had such a bad experience at a hotel before. I would never recommend this hotel to anyone.

This was my husband's first trip to Atlantic City. I was there 30 years ago. Lots of changes. The Super 8 we chose was ... within walking distance to the Boardwalk. Reasonably priced. Clean. Friendly staff. We would definitely stay at the Super 8 again.

The worst hotel in the WORLD
lym Jun 11, 2009
Completely horrible. The pictures online were photo shopped. Some of the staff didn't speak english AT ALL, the staff was ... rude, the rooms VERY small, musty, and dirty, The hotel itself was falling apart, wallpaper peeling, non-working elevator, the pool was being demolished. It was in a really bad neighborhood that was much further than 1/2 block from the boardwalk. This motel was a complete disaster. For a little more money you can stay on the boardwalk.

Clean hotel for being in a bad area
EMTMOM May 25, 2009
My husband and I chose this hotel for our vacation to celebrate our first wedding anniversary. While the room was clean ... throughout our stay, the location was in a bad part of town to which both of us were always afraid to leave the hotel for fear of getting mugged. We also didn't like the fact that the pool not only was closed, but it had been dug up and was completely unusable. It wasn't exactly the best view from our window. The breakfast, though it was free, consisted of stale muffins and warm milk for cereal.

Great deal room was very clean and nice. Great location 1 block from the boardwalk. Work is being done on the pool it was a ... little noisy. The only problem we came accross was the poeple staying next door to us they kept waking us up because were partying all night. Should have called the front desk. The hotel staff were very nice.

Perfect place for a bed and bathroom...
KitKat Apr 22, 2009
Brief (my husband and I were only in the hotel for the evening and getting ready to leave the next morning), but it has what ... we all really need--a bed. Considering we went to a concert, we pretty much came home and crashed immediately afterwards, but the location is great for the price. Downside: If the weather ends up being, well, not so pleasant, and you are hungry, your dining options are to get up, go out, and deal with it, or order from one of the many pizza/delivery resturants in the area.
Traveler type: Couples
Convientatly located to the House of Blues at the Showboat Resort. If you are looking for a reasonably priced place to crash after a concert, I would encourage you to consider the Super 8. Of course, it doesn't have the amenities of it's neighboring mega-resorts/casinos, but it has a bathroom and a bed (and, more importantly, is around the corner from said resorts).

Great price for location
Gina Oct 12, 2008
The Super 8 in a good (safe) location and was half a block down from the boardwalk and all the casinos and restaurants. The ... room was good, nothing too exceptional, but if you're looking for a place to just crash at the end of the night within walking distance from the boardwalk it's a great option. The rooms were clean, didn't smell, and were a decent size. There is a parking lot on the side of the hotel for guests and breakfast in the morning, but don't expect much from that either. Overall, if you want to be close to everything without having to pay a lot for it, this hotel is a good way to go.

Get What You Pay For (Maybe Less)
Guy Sep 1, 2008
Super 8 was in a noisy, run down area(saw 2 homeless people laying out when we went back to the room; scary for kids). Close ... to the beach and Boardwalk (good thing). Room was fine, generally clean; great shower! No view except parking lot and run down houses. Had Continental breakfast daily (juice, pastry, coffee), but two days motel ran out of goods a half hour early and did not restock. Desk clerks were all business, no personality, but quick. Pool was clean, decent, but open up to lousy street. On our last night, the Sunday before Labor Day, there was loud swearing and partying going on in another room all night long. Well, since we did not spend much time in the room or at the motel, the vacation was still enjoyable thanks to the beach, the great weather and the new add-ons to the casinos.

As stated in the Title for review. The place is in a crowded section about 1/2 block from the boardwalk. Parking was a chore ... even though I got there about midnight. The room was OK, no major complaints. Ice machine was a bezillion miles away and generally empty. Towels, water, TV, bed, air cond., all OK. Re: The Continental Breakfast, well, you could have gotten a better one out of the dumpster out back. OK, I'd stay there again, but I'd have to be on my last ditch attempt to find an upgrade.
