Everything was as expected. Customer service was great. Wireless internet was spotty due to the room being way in the ... back. They should figure out a way to install an additional router so that the rooms in the back receive just as good coverage as those near the front of the hotel.

Take a cab if you want to go to 6th street.
--Cathy, Ft. Worth Aug 4, 2009
Take a taxi to Downtown so you can walk everywhere from 6th to 4th Street. Parking is hard to find sometimes. I didn't know you were allowed to smoke in hotel rooms anymore. The hallways would stench of smoke.

To the hotels side-it was a busy weekend. BUT we had listed for 3 people and asked for a room for three (and pd). The room ... they had for us was only good for two people. They finally upgraded us to a large suite which is what we should have been put in from the start. The rooms facing the highway are noisy, but nice rooms. We checked out and came back the next day and got the original room as we had lost our third person. That room was facing the back and was quiet. But they hadn't checked it very good. Missing shower curtain, soaps, towels, etc. Taken care of quickly by a very nice staff though. I would stay there again.

Ocho Motel is so, so.
ragar01 Aug 31, 2009
Overall the stay in the hotel was alright, nothing special. For the price this is a good place to stay at. The staff ... (except for the morning check in person) looked like they where unhappy being there. Especially the night clerk, which was not even in her station at night. Overall it's an ok place to stay.

One Random Night in Austin
UT Houstonite May 27, 2009
It was an okay stay. We chose this place because we couldn't find anything closer to downtown at a decent price. The pool ... looked great but we never had time to check it out. The lady at the front desk was very helpful in getting our rooms situated. We had come ine early and she found us a room to settle in quick. Thanks!

Noisy and uncomfortable
Hugh Oct 2, 2007
Our stay at the Super 8, Austin was not a pleasant experience for my wife and me. The matresses on the beds were a low ... quality and I cound feel the innersprings on my back. The motel is located next to I-35 and the noise from the traffic made it almost impossible to sleep. The outside lights penetrated the curtains and I had to hang a bedspread to darken the room inorder to sleep. The morning cleck asked how was our stay and when I complained, she seemed uncaring and said nothing.

Do not stay here bad service...
Victor Aug 14, 2007
Do not stay here. From the start I knew it would be a bad experience when I first called the Super 8 and asked for basic ... directions - in other words all i wanted to know was the exit. I did not hear the lady clearly and automatically she game me attitude like I was an idiot. this continued when I did not realize the exit she mentioned was also I main highway. She assumed I knew what that was...which I did not so already I was confused by the directions. She again reiterated with rudeness and so it began. I arrived an a man just pulled back behind me and he managed to get in front of me at the counter, big deal. It turned out to be a big deal because the man and the receptionist bagan innocent flirtations.
