Would recommend to a friend!

My husband and I just loved Sun Suites. Our room was clean and comfortable. We had a kitchen in our room which was perfect ... for us during our stay. The staff was great...they helped us find directions to the Mayo Clinic. We will be back to Sun Suites on our next visit to Jacksonville later this year.

The hotel was nice quiet and peaceful. It was in the heart of alot of entertainment and 4 miles from the beach. I overall ... enjoyed it and will refer it to all of my family and friends.

It was horrible. When I arrived the hotel said that they never received the reservation from Obritz and that the rate they ... had was much higher. So at 9:00 that I arrived I had to go and look for another hotel to stay at plus Orbitz had already charged my credit card to my over all experience with Orbitz was horrible.

Dirty, bad neighborhood, wont go back.

My family and I stayed at this hotel for a few days in April. The hotel clerks were nice to me and were very helpful when I ... locked myself out of the room. I did hear one clerk telling another guest on the phone that the internet did not work and they would have to call an 800 # because there was nothing they could do about it, but I don't know about this because I did not use the internet. The rooms are pretty nice for the price. I know Jacksonville pretty well and although this is not a *top notch* hotel, it is decent for the price. It does have a stove top with dishes but not cook ware. (not too sure about that) The fridge was helpful especially with a child. Basically the water was hot, the room was clean, the parking lot was fairly empty and clean and we had no problems.

Not recommended for a short stay

Sun Suites is a renovated older hotel in a decent neighborhood. They are not suited for short term travelers since the ... kitchen has minimal amendities (no dish washing soap, no dish rag, no cooking utinsels, etc.)and no room service to give you clean dishes on a daily basis. We had no assurance that the dishes were clean and no ability to clean them. It appears most of the clients use this hotel as a cheap apartment and are expected to provide everything they need to set up the kitchen for their own use. When we arrived, the elevator was not working and we had to carry our luggage to the third floor. When I commented to the front desk about this, the desk clerk offered no apology but said this happens alot and that "machines break down". The bed was comfortable but the room was not real clean.

very comfortable room, a little concerned with the traffic though as when i arrived the desk clerk was no where to be ... found for a little while. I was traveling by myself. went to a resturant up the street to wait.

Would recommend to a friend!

It was a pretty good place to stay. The location was close to many restaurants and Interstate 95. There was ample parking. ... The appliances were in good condition (fairly new) and the room was clean. There was a bit of noise on the floor above us late into the night but we ended up falling asleep ok. If you're on a budget and want a nice central location in Jacksonville, then I recommend this hotel.
