Extra services ugly expensives
Tuga Oct 18, 2009
It's a good place to sleep, but all extra services are very expensive. A short intl phone call (less than 1 min) cost me more ... than 14 USD !!!! The internet costs about 12 USD + tax per day.

Beautiful hotel with some problems
Vicky Oct 18, 2009
The bed was uncomfortable - lumpy, seemingly not of high quality. Also, in order to maintain a reasonable warm temp in the ... room, the heat kept going on and off and every time it went on it made a big noise, which made it difficult to sleep. That is why I checked off "noisy" above. All in all, I hardly slept at all.

Happy until the Surprise
harrio Aug 18, 2009
My experience was wonderful until I arrived home and found out that the hotel debited my charge card $50.00 per day, for two ... days and will hold up my money for 10 days. I was told when I arrived that my card number would be held for incidental charges if there were any. I made a local call that I paid cash for this morning. I was never told that my card would be charged $100.00 anyway. The guests should be told of this policy. What if I did not have $100.00 in my account? I would have incurred fees for an overdraft. I'm furious!

Slept like a baby in the house

The hotel was nice but we were disappointed at how many businesses had left Union Station. It was rather dead. We also had ... a fire alarm at 5:15 am Saturday morning. There was no mention about what had occurred other than the 5:45 announcement that they were sorry for our inconvenience. No discount or compensation like Embassy Suites and other hotels that have had mishaps to occur.

Unbeatable location for the price
Extensive Traveller Aug 16, 2009
hotel was perfect. great location. able to walk everywhere, but airport is far. Renting a car would have been the only thing ... I would have done different. Hotel has great restaurant and great room service. Also, a lot of dining options close by. Close by means less than one minute walking- e.g. hard rock cafe, quizznos, subway, einstein bagels, panda express,... to name a few.

The St. Louis Union Station Marriott is in a central location in ST. Louis, Mo. There is a Union Station Mall but due to the ... time of year, winter and the economy a lot of the shops where close. Right behind the hotel is a Hard Rock Cafe.
