The hotel is in a good location. The superlatives have to end there. I didn't get the room type I arranged for initially, ... and it took another staffer to urge the decision-maker/supervisor to activate the correct room number for our newly swiped key cards for the replacement room The air conditioner was extremely loud and the toilet also took a long, loud full 90 seconds to refill each flush. The continental breakfast was adequate. Staffers were friendly but seemed unconcerned about details. Sorry, I can't recommend this hotel.

Great Weekend in Memphie!
We Were Young Sep 28, 2009
Great location. Ate at 'Flight' Restaurant nearby, which was fun. Beale Street just a few blocks away. Glad to have parking ... and breakfast at no additional charge. Breakfast was 'acceptable.' If the rate remains competitive, will definitely return.

Really enjoyed 'Flight' Restaurant nearby. Everything is served in 'flights' of threes. Not inexpensive, but reasonable. Enjoyed the Scotch flight choices as well.

I went for a business conference and had a very short walk to location. Springhill Suites seemed to be in the middle of the ... downtown area which was very nice. The trolley was right outside the door and cost $1.00 to ride it. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful.

The Blues City Cafe ribs were perfect.

The really bad
mom Jun 1, 2009
The hotel was horrible it was nothing like the pictures on the internet. Room didn't look clean everything was old small out ... of date TV's furnature looked like it came from a garage sale. We had to change rooms at midnight because the tub was stopped up. Hotel offered no compensation. I wanted to cry when I saw that room. It spoiled the last night of our trip. I stayed at other SpringHill Suites in other states and they were beautiful. I really thought it would look like the pictures. Bottom line I will never stay at the SpringHill Suites in Memphis again.

Good location and value

The SpringHill Suites are in a very good location and have a trolley stop near the hotel. The rooms are very comfortable; the ... beds are soft and have plenty of pillows, and the room we were in had plenty of space. I would recommend the SpringHill Suites; it is a very nice place to stay that is also convenient for seeing the sights of downtown Memphis.

Restaurants and the entertainment sites are relatively close. The trolley would be the best bet for getting down to the good stuff.
