Where's the Quality?

I chose the Quality Inn/Addison based on a combination of price and location. I am familiar with the area, and I figured that ... the hotel would be clean, quiet, and would provide at least a minimum standard of amenities. I found the room to be in sub-standard condition - the shower curtain rod and towel shelves were barely hanging on the wall. There were no facecloths in the room, and the WiFi barely worked. I had no access from the second bed, poor from the first, and marginal access from the desk. The complimentary breakfast was no compliment - small selections, and the bagels were stale. At checkout, the day manager literally got into a shouting match with the folks in the room next to ours - they were complaining about the toilet not working and other problems. They seemed upset, but stressed. The manager lost it, raising his voice, and accusing them of simply wanting a free room. What the manager SHOULD have done was to have apologized, checked out the problems for himself, and offered to kick the problem up the corporate ladder for them. This would have given them some TLC, and hope for a resolution, and allowed everyone to calm down. If that's the kind of management that represents the chain, next time I think I'll take my business elsewhere.

Too many restaurants to name. But if you like Mexican food I suggest Blue Goose. Lots of good mexican restaurants to choose from. Magazine in the room lists all the restaurants, shopping, etc.

Very nice room. The bed was very comfortable. Had a refrigerator and microwave in the room. The pool was great. Main reason ... for the getaway was to swim and relax. I was the only person at the pool the 3 days I was there. Great location. Close to all the really good restaurants in Addison. Staff was very nice. I will definitely stay here again. Had complimentary breakfast also.

While the location of the hotel was great and the price was acceptable,the upkeep of the facility left a little to be ... desired. The entrance door did not seal properley which resulted in bugs getting in the room all night long as they were attracted to the light just outside the door. Nothing inside the room matched(carpet, wallpaper, bed spread, tile, etc.) Not a bad hotel.
