beautiful lobby but.....
anniverary trip Nov 9, 2009
The hotel was located in the middle of old San Juan, and the lobby was beautiful, the problem started when we were handed a ... room key to 4H and then we were advised that the elevator was not in yet!! The guy that checked us in did carry my bag up the four flights of stairs, but my husband had to carry his own bag. We only left the hotel a couple of time due to the four flights of stairs, we were very disappointed in our stay, we were very glad we had only booked one night. We had no ice in the ice bucket and no phone in the room to call about the ice. I would not recommend this hotel.

Well kept secret

A well kept secret! Location can't be beat! Not one of those huge resorts, but a local flavor and not too expensive. ... Beautiful lobby. Staff was very friendly, breakfast was included although it was cereal, toast, fruit and coffee, I felt like I was in my own kitchen. No elevator and I was on the 4th floor, but I traveled light so it was good excercise. Room was comfortable and clean but no frills, but I don't need much since I was out of the room all day. They are desperately upgrading and remodeling and hoping for more tourists. I highly recommend!

good location

Very noisy street on friday and saturday night, so you could be advised for a room without window !! But very friendly staff ... which allows you to change room. Old San Juan little buildings could not be compared to modern business hotels. Old San Juan is very pleasant, without rental car, spanish and italian mood in the Caribbean.

Unbeatable location for the price
Edgar Romero Sep 13, 2009
Best kept secret, I has been traveled through all world and it's a mixture of Europe/Morocco in Old San Juan. Welcoming and ... relaxing sensation from the first step in lobby. Roof top terrance a must see we practiced yoga on the morning facing San Cristobal fort, relaxer in stone tubs with hot water watching a beautiful sunset.
