The staff was unfriendly. The restaurant food was bland and offered few choices. Obviously it is next to impossible to ruin ... breakfast foods, so this was the only good meal of the day. Other than the location, this place was a complete bust. Next year we will be staying at Signal Mountain Lodge in the Park or in the town of Jackson.

Colter Bay has a great picnic area on Lake Jackson with AMAZING views of the mountains in the background. Sunset is directly behind the mountains and offers an array of colors as a back drop to the mountains. Bring Steaks and Charcoal for the grill at the picnic area.

A Great Experience
Tobie Aug 30, 2009
Unfortunately we were only there one night. We checked in late and were upgraded to a one bedroom suite. It was huge! ... Beautiful bathroom with heated floors and tv. Two large flat screens in each room. Linens were soft and fluffy. Exceptionally clean. Two way fireplace. Large balcony. The kids went crazy over the indoor/outdoor pool with water falls, bubble pots and hot pools.

The OUTBACK BAR B QUE down the road was nasty and expensive. We enjoyed the Mangy Moose in the village the best. The Italian restaurant, a short drive, was good as well. The Bunnery is great for breakfast. Thats in Jackson Hole.

A pleasant getaway
Dennis Oct 17, 2008
The Snake River Resort and Spa was a pleasant and enjoyable stay. The two rooms we had were very comfortable and clean. The ... large flat screen TV was nice, though we were not there much to watch it with all to see in the area. This is an older facility but has been maintained well. Views of the Tetons are blocked by other buildings that have since been constructed. Most of our acitivities were in Jackson Hole which is about a 20 minute drive. Yellowstone is about an hour away, with the Tetons at your doorstep. Once you get out, the scenary is amazing. I might suggest checking other facilities in Jackson Hole to cut down on the driving back and forth.

Plenty of good restaurants in JH...The Blue Lion (nice $$), The Gun Barrel, Cadillac Grill, Bunnery (bkfst), and an Italian place (name??)just up the road from the resort. Take good hiking boots/shoes to see country side.

My review of Snake River Lodge & Spa, A RockResort
Fran Jun 14, 2008
The dining was very expensive for nothing. Then we scheduled a tour that left the hotel at 7:00 AM. We tried to get some ... breakfast (room service, muffins, coffee) but nothing was available until 7:00 (hence the time we left!) We were extremely disappointed in the food service and not accommodating us. How hard is it to have someone provide muffins, fruit and coffee by 6:00 AM? We would NOT recommend Snake River to anyone.

Corner room over loading area was noisy very early each morning with trucks making deliveries. Room was nice but small and ... for such a class hotel was surprised that there was no turn down service. Staff was excellent and very accomodating. Spa facilities first rate.

summer trip for two
Doug Aug 31, 2007
We choose this hotel based on amenities and proximity to mountian. We didnt realize that Jackson has got more going on in the ... summer, not Teon Village. The hotel was OK, but we definately causght them at the end of the season as they were slighty lax in all depts. Nice enough, noisy neighbors which we never complained about, spa was spotless, pool was not spotless. Overall a good exerience, just not great.

Jesse May 15, 2007
Nice place overall? really good bed and fine sheets (what I look for in a hotel) my room had a ?village view?. Staff was A+ ... as was cleaning of the room, I never saw the cleaning people not even once in a four day stay but like clockwork the invisible cleaning elves took care of my room in fine fashion. Pools and hot tubs are first rate as well with waterfalls in both.
