GREAT value.

Newly renovated, beautiful trim and decor. The picture windows next to the elevators look like a painting, the view overlooks ... a small park. Our favorite part was the lady at the desk. [...] She is wonderful, friendly, loads of personality, fun to talk to. When you walk out the door, the trolley tracks are right there. Our room was very small, but all we needed. We often visit Memphis, this is now our favorite hotel. Great place.

Excellent accommodations, terrific staff, convenient to the convention center, on the trolley line. Neighborhood appears to ... be under serious renovation and will be nice at some point. At present it feels somewhat sketchy; most businesses have moved out of neighboring buildings, the few that are around are not open much.
Traveler type: Business
Very little shopping in the area; even a nearby "mall" is virtually empty--come prepared! A well-stocked pharmacy is across the street, but its hours are quite limited for someone who is in business meetings most of the day.

location is wonderful we rented a car but was able to walk to most places. Car was valet most of the trip although when we ... did need it to be at a wedding we were in it took an hour for them to bring it and we were almost late.too many panhandlers outside they harrass you as soon as you leave the property.

Beale St. is 4 or 5 blocks away and the best food on Beale is at Blues City Cafe. The ribs are so good and so are the steaks.

Wonderful place to stay
Memphis lover Aug 16, 2009
We stayed at the Sleep Inn because we were going to a concert on Mud Island and it's right across from the hotel, just a ... short walk down the street to the entrance where you can walk over to the island or take the tram. We've stayed here several times while in Memphis and you can't beat how friendly and helpful the staff is or how nice the rooms are. The continental breakfast on Saturday was very nice. The trolley runs right past the back of the building so downtown is easily accessible. There are beautiful little city parks in front of and back of the hotel.

If you want more for breakfast than what you'd get for free at the hotel, you can walk across the square to the Blue Plate restaurant. The food is excellent and reasonably priced.

Unbeatable Location for the price
Whirlygiggirl Jul 26, 2009
I was on a business trip by myself. The location was great to where I needed to be. The trolley system right outside the ... front door was quaint and efficient. I went everywhere I wanted to go using the the trolley. The park in front of the hotel was lovely. I couldn't have picked a better spot at a better price. Folks that stayed at the host hotel, were closer, but not nearly as pleased as I was!

Was in a good location-could walk to Beale street, Peabody hotel, and restaurants. Room was small and smelled like smoke even ... though it was a non-smoking room. Bed seemed like a full, not a queen. Otherwise, pretty average room. Parking is $8/night.

Bill Street Hammer Head
Steve Aug 24, 2008
You would think after a night out on Bill St. one might wake up to a hammering head ache. Although I'm not a drinker and ... don't have to worry with such things I did wake up quickly after going to bed to a jack hammer going off. It was not in my head though it was on the 5th floor of the hotel and I was on the 4th floor. Oh yes and what a shock. I tried to find the mgr to see if we could relocate to another room but none were available. So there I was all night with hammering going on. I have stayed at this hotel once before and had a very good experience. Just be sure to check on the up grading process.

Small Room but Convenient Location
Janet Feb 17, 2008
While the room was rather tight for space, it served the purpose (a place to sleep) just fine. My husband wanted a tape ... measure so he could measure the queen size bed; he swore it couldn't be the same size as our bed back home, but it was comfortable. We had a little trouble adjusting the temperature to a comfortable level; the cooling system seems a little antiquated. Overall, a good experience,no real problems that caused us distress. Very convenient to the trolley line and to the Fed Ex Forum, our destination.

The Sleep Inn at Court Square Downtown Memphis, TN, is located on the trolly system and close to Beale street, just where I ... needed to be. The motel is a budget type, so don't expect much more than a small clean room at an affordable price. I would stay there again and recommend, however I would look for a motel with more amenities and compare the price. I think for the location the price is fair and the motel is adequate.

Carson Jul 14, 2007
Sleep Inn At Court Square was a nice hotel. The room was a little smaller than I anticipated, but it was clean and new. We ... had a nice view overlooking the square. Beale St. was a few blocks down and within waking distance. Although if you didn't feel like walking you could take the trolley which stopped right in front of the hotel. The staff was helpful in finding local all the attractions. Our over all stay was wonderful and we would probably stay there again.
