A very good value for money hotel with good connections to the centre. (11/06 MW) A high-rise building, close to the river bank. The hotel is located on the left bank of the Dniepr River. Being a 16-storey building, it offers some spectacular views of the golden domes of the Kiev Pechersk Lavra monasteries. It takes about 15 minutes to get to the city centre by taxi.

Not Friendly to Americans
David Oct 20, 2008
The hotel was very not helpful at all when a problem arose in the city. They seemed to have cared less. Except for one ... bartender, they were slow and rude. There is no way I would stay there again.

There's a market across a little bridge to the left from exiting the hotel-you can buy local fresh produce,juice,cheese,salami,cookies,ice-cream etc.if you don't want to spend money on meals at the restaurant.

Best views in Kiev
Tatyana Sep 1, 2008
The hotel is located on the left bank of the river Dnipro,30 minutes away from the city center(15min trip on a mini-van or ... bus and another 15min on the subway). Our standart room was a bit small and missed some of the amenities that 3-star hotels have in the US(hairdryer, iron, coffeemaker, fridge etc.) However, the view you'd have if you stay in the room facing the river will reward any inconveniences! The staff is professional and friendly, although the prices at the hotel cafe and bar are a bit high-so it's best to have your breakfast in the city! Overall,my husband and I are determined to return to Slavutichnext year and recommend it to the travelers on a budget.

Dificult business amenities
marek Mar 27, 2008
Slavutich Htl is located not so close to the center of Kiev with no good public transport (exept taxi, of course) but close ... to the exibition center - if prefering; no internet access in the rooms, have to used business center open till 8 p.m., later - forget it.Very good idea: lobby bar and caffee opened 24 hours/day - drink and eat possibilities after late back to the hotel.
