RIGHT ON THE OCEAN. GREAT WAVES FOR SURFERS/ETC. BEAUTIFUL GROUNDS. I STAYED IN THE OLDER BUILDING, WHICH WAS DEFINITELY ... ....OLDER. SHOWER DIDNT WORK...BUT I COMPLAINED AND THEY FIXED IT. I HEARD FROM THE OTHER GUESTS THAT THE NEWER PART IS MUCH NICER. BAR STAFF FRIENDLY. RESTAURANT STAFF HAD AN ATTITUDE (2/3 PEOPLE). EVERYONE ELSE WAS GREAT. NOT ALOT OF ACTIVITIES AT THE HOTEL. IN FACT, NONE THAT I WITNESSED. BUT I CAME ONLY FOR WARMTH, BEACH, AND REST, SO THAT WAS FINE WITH ME. FITNESS CENTER...APRROXIMATELY 50% OF EQUIPMENT BROKEN. OVERALL, REASONABLE, FOR THE PRICE. YOU GET WHAT U PAY FOR...

The hotel area is nice,quiet and relaxing,there is a a gym,beauty salon,tennis court and mini mart in the hotel so if your ... too lazy to go anywhere you can go down to the mini mart and make food in your kitchenette. Great Rooms and Service While we where there we had to be in town alot so the hotel had a bus in the front of the hotel that left 9;00am to bridgetown.

Check out the next few towns up the west coast for dining- Oistins, Maxwell, St. Lawrence, Rockley, Hastings. Each place was incredible- Monet Cafe, The Black Pearl, Champers.

You will need to hire a taxi or rent a car if you care to do anything outside of the hotel grounds. There are many ammenities ... at Silver Sands Resort but greater quality (food, etc) can be found up the west coast of Barbados and is well worth the effort to find. We could not get beach towels from the front desk one day and they wouldn't give us extra bath towels then either so we were stuck using our only 2 bath towels down by the beach. Whirlpools were lukewarm- not even close to hot. Off season travel had the hotel at probably 10% capacity which kept things nice and quiet. The biggest highlight is the ocean and beach at the edge of the property- gorgeous views of the water!

Do to the nature of my stay, I did not have the time to enjoy all the activities available. But just staying in the ... comfortable rooms is enough for me to give the hotel a second chance. I love that it is located. I is wonderful if you are looking for a relaxing environment.
