Great location for the price
Diane Nov 17, 2009
The location was very easy to find. The staff was very friendly and helpful. For the price the room had a lot of amenities. ... A microwave, refrigerator, coffee pot and ironing board. The only bad thing was plastic cups for the coffee instead of styrofoam or real coffee cups. I dropped the plastic cup and spilled it on myself. I told the staff and they stated the manager changed to the plastic cups to save money. Too bad the manager wasn't as concientious as his staff.

very convinient location
Elena Oct 13, 2008
The shilo inn in tigard is in a very convinient location. its away from the hustle bustle of the city. Its quiet because its ... quite a good distance from the airport, but near all highways, we didn't have a hard time going to the mountains and the coast. it was also very close to food places and shopping at the washington square. I would love to come back again, for a very good price, nice accomodations, free breakfast, just enough to hold you until lunch.

Not worth the money
David Jun 20, 2008
This hotel needs a remodel badly. The staff is friendly but they are hampered by a computer system that is old along with ... everything else in the hotel. For half the price it would still be too much for what you get.

Washington Square is a mall with many places to shop and to get a bite to eat. It is indoors so if the weather is inclement, it provides a nice environment to shop in.

Shilo Inn in Tigard ...
Kevin Sep 3, 2007
Shilo Inn in Tigard Oregon was very relaxing. The young lady who worked day shift was rude and not helpful at all. I ... recommend that she has a job in a back office, not dealing with people. The shower had mold that I do not remember from our last visit. over all we were happy. Very quiet, slept well.

Customer Friendly
Eleanor Aug 6, 2007
The registration clerk was exceptionally friendly and helpful. She was effiecient at registering us and explained the ... amenities that were available, such as the cookies she was wrapping, the fresh fruit, the breakfast that was available free in the mornings. She was careful to tell us where the elevator was and the directions to our room. When we asked for directions to Washington Square, she was very helpful in explaining how to drive there. It was a very pleasant experience for us to stay there and would be willing to book a room again if we needed to.

Family friendly
Connie Jul 22, 2007
The room was comfortable. It had everything in it that was needed or wanted but it was very small and crowded. The breakfast ... was good. Location was convenient. One night the firealarms went off at 2:30 am and again at 5:45 am. After the later one they couldnt get it to stay off and we were awakened by it every 22 seconds for the next hour. Very disturbing night. We were still somewhat satisfied.

Overpriced, somewhat hostile desk clerk
Benoy Jul 21, 2007
This motel, which is part of a chain we have always enjoyed staying at in the past, is very substandard in comparison to ... other properties. The desk clerk did not give me a copy of our check in paperwork and blew me off when I asked for a copy. After checking the incredibly small room out, I returned to the desk to ask for 2 additional bath towels because only one was in the bathroom. The clerk was skeptical and ungraciously gave me additional towels after telling me that the rooms always had two towels. I was going to ask for an additional pillow but the person at the desk ahead me asked for another pillow and the same clerk replied that there probably weren't any to be had. I removed 3 cookies from the cookie jar under her obvious scrutiny and I felt as if she would have reprimanded me if I had taken another. The breakfast was mimimal with one waffle maker that couldn't adequately serve the volume of people. The bedspread was obviously soiled when I turned it back, making me suspect that the room had not been adequately cleaned. Last but not least was the $25.00 pet charge for our one night. There were no special amenities provided, ie, pet towel, dog bone, scooper bag, that other motels provide whilst charging a minimal ($10.00) fee. It seemed to me that the motel manager and/or owner were not interested in customer comfort or satisfaction. We will NEVER stay at this facility again and if we hear of others who might choose this facility, we will make sure we give very negative feedback about this Shiloh Inn.

Adequate but Somewhat Lacking
Tricia Jun 24, 2007
This Shiloh Inn was not in the same league as others in which I've stayed. The first disappointment was the parking situation ... and the fact that the back door could not be opened with a key, but instead was propped open with a wash cloth by the desk clerk, and unattended. As a result, I made sure to park in the front so as not to be in a position to need to use that door, to my inconvenience. The second disappointment was the high speed internet... I was barely able to get a SLOW signal on my wireless connection. The third and final disappointment that I will discuss was the lack of dining facilities in the near vicinity. When I have stayed at other Shiloh Inns, I enjoyed a full breakfast in the hotel's restaurant, but this one had no restaurant, and the continental breakfast was typical. When asked about restaurants in the area, the desk clerk was unable to give clear directions. It is unfortunate that in the absence of an attached restaurant that the hotel did not make a better effort to direct its customers, perhaps with a map, to the nearest restaurants in the area. I will not be booking a room in this hotel again, but rather will drive a little further to another Shiloh Inn, or other hotel in the same general vicinity.
