It was a great place to stay. I needed to be near the Salt Palace for the Xango convention, and all the other hotels wanted A ... LOT more money. I will stay there next year for the XanGo convention and any other time I go to SLC. The employees were familiar with the area and directed to where I needed to go, correctly. I hate when you ask someone where something is where THEY live and they do not know. The beds were excellent, the water was hot, the ice machine always had ice and they had two premium TV channels at no extra charge! Internet access, no charge. I also ate at the restaurant onsite, food was great service was friendly and attentive.

SUPERIOR LOCATION
Ewa Beach Tita Aug 29, 2009
i try and stay at the Shilo Inn every time I am in Salt Lake City. It is easy to get to, has ample parking and is in close ... proximity to everything in the downtown area. You can walk right across the street for dinner and it does have a restaurant on the premisis, and continental breakfast. I also like the fact that there is a refrigerator, coffee maker and small microwave in the rooms. It has a great downtown view as well as the beautiful Utah mountains.

Nice room beds were really comfortable. Needed some mainanence (carpet coming away from door threshold, bathroom needed an ... update). Elevators were slow and stairs were on outside of building and hard to access. The pool and hottub/ sauna were in good repair and good size. The temperature of the pool was very comfortable. Breakfast was hot and delicious. An older hotel overall stay was good.

The Shilo Inn is conveniently located near the Mormon Square and across the street from the convention center. A major ... shopping district is within walking distance, about a mile from the hotel. If you need a grocery store, Whole Foods is less then 2 miles from the Shilo and easy to get access. During the weekend there was very little traffic in town making walking very easy.

Comfortable beds, great location!
Mom to 5 Jun 1, 2009
The location of the Shilo Inn is great. We walked to dinner and to the nearest Trax Station. Our beds were very ... comfortable. The breakfast was a hot breakfast of our choice from the in-house restaurant. This is an older hotel so the carpet was pretty old. The pool was clean but very deep for our littler kids, although it had a very large hot tub that our littler kids enjoyed. The bathroom was big and the hotel was one of the quieter hotels we have stayed in. The outside view elevator was broken. The staff was helpful and friendly.

bad...this is the third time that I have tried to submit my opinion...and I am beginning to believe that you do not care! ... This was the worst hotel that I have ever stayed at. There were ants in my room, no maid service the entire time I was there and the hotel maintainance people (did not know they were at the time) asked me to get off the business computer so that they could use it! I was very disappointed! They could do nothing for me since I pre paid you all and now I am not sure that I want to try and use you all on my next vacation/business trip.

Me and my wife were there on ski vacation. We both like the hotel, it was clean comfortable, the staff was super polite. ... Breakfast was good. Very convenient location The hut tub did not work at the time of our stay, which was the main reason I choose that hotel, so I might consider other hotel next time. But it also was not very expansive, so I cannot complain and would recommend to friends
