Location to car rentals and airport is great Resturant in hotel was a good breakfast Service at Desk very accommadating. Very ... large rooms. TVs old. This is an older hotel that needs modernizing. Rooms from 340-363 were smoking rooms and have been converted to nonsmoking but they stink badly. I was given another room on first floor and that one was OK.

Staff was very helpful. Room was clean and spacious. Complimentary breakfast was fresh but limited protein items and no hot ... food except hot cereal. They did serve complimentary latte. The hostess was wonderful. Restaurant was 20% off for guests but entrees were about $25. They also gave a complimentary glass of wine in the restaurant

We wanted to be near the airport as our son was flying out to New Mexico and we had to be at the airport for a very early ... departure. The staff was great and took us to the airport at 4:30 am and once our son left, they picked us up so we could return to our room. They were very friendly and accomodating.

The Shilo had a very comfortable room with a mini kitchen area to the side. The pillows were fabulous. My only complaint ... was that the white bedspreads had what appeared to be coffee stains.

Desk staff was not friendly and when asked if they could replace the toner in the business center, they never did take care ... of it. (Even after other guest reminded them.) Restaurant next door was very good. The restaurant staff in the hotel was very nice and friendly.

The Shilo Inn Portland Airport was delightful. The check in was fast and the bell person assisted me with my five pieces of ... luggage. He was very careful when taking the luggage out of my Corvette. The junior suite had far more room that I expected. The living area is very large with a dining table and comfortable chairs, a sofa & table and large kitchen area. All appliances were spotless as well as the rest of the area...even under the sink. The bedroom area is comfortable with lots of area to walk around in, a desk and dresser. I believe I counted three TVs; including one in the bathroom. The vanity area was the largest of any hotel I have stayed in and had its own chair. I had a problem with the Internet connection and my computer. Someone on staff took the time to get my computer connected and running correctly . . . not an item they should have to address, but they did so to assist me and I greatly appreciate their patience and pleasant attitude. The restaurant has delightful meals and the breakfast is enough to last all day. We had the steak and crab legs. They were served done to perfection . . . I?m picky about steak and it was exactly like I wanted it. The ease of getting to the freeway was great, but no freeway noise. It is close to shopping and walking distance to other food establishments. The banquet facilities were fantastic. The staff was great about assisting with last minute needs of the organizers of the banquet. Food was very good and correct temperature
