Close to anything downtown or the metro. Rooms are toward the center so you don't get a lot of street noise. Beds are ... fantastic. Tv's are outdated. No flat screen. You pay inflated city prices for breakfast/dinner/bar. Bartender/wait staff are very friendly. Checking in desk was understaffed. Or didn't have any back up during busy time. No organization at the counter; such as who's next, so the passageway becomes a logjam.

Great Service, Staff, and Rooms
Wi traveler Nov 12, 2009
Spacious and well appointed rooms, very comfortable beds and bedding, and great service from the knowledgeable and helpful ... staff made for a great stay at a great price. Parking and fee could be improved, but overall it was a great venue in an interesting city at a very competitive price. A view of the arch would have been nice, but a view of the city was sufficient.
Traveler type: Business
interesting variety of attractions in the immediate and general area.

We went to this hotel bc it had the best pool out of the hotels we looked at in our price range. I told my kids that are four ... and two that we were going on vacation and there would be a pool, so they got super excited and packed there suits then we get there only to find out the pool is closed and has been for awhile! We booked the hotel the same day we arrived and the website showed pictures and had it posted that there were olympic sized pool and jacuzzi which my wife was super excited about, NOTH were closed! when i expressed my displeasure they offered nothing in return witch left me and the family VERY unhappy! [...]on there internet site it showed our room having a view of the arch, it didnt! No big deal, however the stains on the carpet and the walpaper peeling off made me wonder why i had went to the "sheraton" at all and not a best weastern or motel 8. Also i spent Approximately $214 per night after booking, pArking, and there taxes and fee's when [...] showed i was booking at $95 per night, i spent $38 at there restaraunt and the rest i dont understand where it came from i have a -$218.90 charge from [...] which was suppose to cover the room but then a -$210.33 from the sheraton also .[...]

Satisfactory Stay
Dani Sep 1, 2009
I traveled with my boyfriend and his father and his girlfriend. We were all very satisfied with our rooms and the stay. The ... room was clean and well kept up during our stay. The only complaint I have is the plumbing was very loud when you would flush the toilets. The Bistro had a good breakfast buffet, other than that I didn't get a chance to experience any of their food. The bar was a nice place to relax and watch the Cardinals game while enjoying a drink. The atmosphere was great for getting to sit and watch a game with strangers enjoying the same thing. The walk was perfect to go to the Union Station mall and to the Stadium.
Traveler type: Couples
The union station mall is about 2-3 blocks away and so is the baseball stadium. They're in opposite directions but they are both within easy walking distance. (This is coming from a chubby lady who doesn't walk much!) :-)

Beautiful hotel but time for a makeover
Doug Aug 24, 2009
Hotel basically clean, staff friendly, the sleeper sofa was missing several fasteners and fell through on the foot end of the ... bed, the lamp in the living room area fell apart, a non-feather pillow was requested and the security guard showed up with a mattress pad stuffed into a pillow case. The bedroom area of the suite was nice and beding etc clean. It's a good thing we got a deal on the room to make up for the $17 per night parking and there is a Star Bucks in the Lobby.

Convienent to local transit.
NJ Traveler May 13, 2009
Basically I thought that the hotel was good. I don't know offhand what the rack rate is but for what I paid it was a good ... deal. The location near the light rail and AMTRAK station was perfect for me as I came into town by rail and used the transit system to get around. I have only two minor gripes. The first is that I think the housekeeping staff was a bit off when I was there (or perhaps the bad economy is catching up to them). One day the towels and cups were not restocked, not a big problem since I didn't use all of them and the next day all was well. The other is that on the weekends there doesn't seem to be much food obviously nearby. Since I had a transit day pass it was a short ride to many resturants. Also walking a few blocks in the correct direction looks like it would yeid some good prospects during the week. Both of these are really minor and would not stop me from retuning to this hotel in the future. I did not eat in the resturant use the pool so I can't comment on either.

Went to St Louis for the Final Four basketball. The hotel location was perfect, right across from the Scottrade Center, the ... Metro (and buses). Staff were all friendly and helpful, even printed out our boarding passes before we left. The room was wonderful and we wanted to take the bed home, it was so comfortable. There are no convenience stores any where within walking distance and the hotel has extremely limited supplies. The restaurant was way too expensive and the breakfast buffet was cold at 7AM. What happens to the folks who came in later?

Stan Aug 4, 2008
The hotel was very well maintained and clean. Location is ideal. The room was hugh... we had a large sitting area with pull ... out sofa, sink/refrig, tv .. there was a double sink area along with the bathroom and the actual bedroom with 2 queen beds was large enought to have a reading area.. Perfect for entertaining after a business meeting or a wedding reception.. The one concern I have is the value... Friends stayed in another downtown hotel and received free breakfast, long distance calls and even a cocktail at night.. At the Sheridan, you paid for everything..

Wonderful accommodations and friendly staff
PATRICK May 11, 2008
The Sheraton Saint Louis was a pleasure to stay at. The room was very large with high ceilings and beautifully maintained ... and spotless. There was a couch and coffee table to relax on and a well designed desk to work at. The building architecture and front and side artwork were outstanding. It is in short walking distance of Union Station and across from the metrolink. A very short drive to Washington Avenue and to the Arch. Only about 10 minutes drive to the Art Museum and Zoo where you can lunch at the boathouse all part of Forest Park. Maybe 15 minutes to Science Center and you can shuttle from the airport, but I would rent a car.
