We were going to the Titan's football game on Sunday and it was also our anniversary. The room was very comfortable. The ... location is perfect because it's close enough to walk to great restaurants and lots of entertainment but not right in the middle of all the noise and people partying. The staff was helpful and courteous.

We thought Orbitz was suppose to offer cheaper rates than booking directly through the hotel. The hotel room rate was $110 and with tax etc. $130.08. Our total by going through Orbitz was $158.83. Not a substantial amount($28.75) but enough for a pretty decent dinner for two.

Be prepared to spend a ton of money at the bars. There are no liquor stores downtown, so I would recommend grabbing something before you get downtown and a have a few drinks before you hit the strip, as the drinks are $6-$12 each!

Perfect location, beautiful hotel
Country Music Fanatic Jul 6, 2009
We came to Nashville to celebrate the 4th of July and couldn't have picked a better hotel when it comes to location! Just a ... short walk to everything downtown, we didn't have to drive anywhere except the Opry. We could even see the fireworks from our hotel window, since it was downpouring! The concierge service was very helpful and check-in/check-out was efficient, even on the holiday weekend. The hotel is upscale, worth the extra money for the beautiful interior, comfortable rooms, and extra amenities. The only downfall was paying $20/day to park.

Dude Jul 5, 2009
It was easy to get there from the airport. It's right downtown where all the action is. You can walk to most anything. We ... were visiting friends who lived 1 mile north of downtown, and we could see their house from our room! We had a great view of the capitol from the 17th floor. The lobby is beautiful and the elevators are fun. The bartender at the bar was really cool, very entertaining and friendly. There are giant TV's in the rooms. The hotel parking costs extra but we managed to park on the street because it was free on Sundays and Holidays. The desserts are really yummy. There's a ton of homeless people in this neighborhood but it's basically quiet and safe.

I would agree with the post of the unfriendly staff..only once in 4 days did a employee say hello inside the hotel. At this ... NON smoking hotel the valet's are very personable and nice. As far as the noise, try to get a room away from the elevators the're open air so in your room around them you can hear them go up and down, up and down all day/night. On the maps it looks like you are at a great location for downtown. Really you are 5 blocks north and 4 blocks over which really isn't a big deal just bring good walking shoes as I finally realized that you can walk up hills both ways. For a better location I would stay at the Radisson next time. Beware of the Homeless populationthey do not bother you but, for soft hearts it is tough to see all day every day. Please do me a favor if youre going soon.. go to Broadway and 2nd at the corner across from Hard rock.. stop to see if Charlie Bucket is there, a very cute puppy with a great personality he travels with his owner and hangs out in his guitar case.

Nice hotel but....
Carol Sep 30, 2007
Sheraton Downtown was a nice hotel with friendly staff, but their parking charges are ridiculous. The customer has the ... option to park their own car, but still incurs the $18 + tax charge. The best part was the big comfy bed. A vanity sink outside the bathroom would have been nice. This hotel is also a long walk to 2nd Avenue where the night life is. If you stay here and plan to go out at night, make sure you take a cab.
