Mother of the Bride; aka MOB Nov 3, 2009
My daughter and her fiance chose this location to be their destination wedding site. Must admit, I was a little concerned ... that strangers would not care to the important details that make a wedding wonderfully memorable. My fears were quickly calmed the moment we were greeted at the door until it was departing time. The staff, food, service, accomodations, etc, etc.... Not only did we enjoy the event of a lifetime; we experienced it in paradise. It just does not get any better than that. So, fear not all you mother of the brides! - Let the Sheridan take care of the details while you, your daughter and family enjoy your precious time together!

A flamenco guitarist played throughout the evening. The service was outstanding. I wished that the Shereton would have had an event like that. Two restaurants in town also are worth mentioning. Mi Casa is a nice surprise. It serves regional cuisine. Home made tortillas and live music made it super enjoyable. An attached store provides ample of choices for all your souvenir shopping. Beyond satisfied with the Shereton
Relaxed and tan Sep 9, 2009
This was my first visit to Cabo. My family stayed at nearby property. I thought that since the two properties were next to ... each other, it would be easy to walk over. It wasn't. Once I was at the resort I was there for good. I had to rely on a family member who had rented a car to get around and see the sights. There were some families at the resort mixed with young couples. Due to it being a slow time of the year, neither group seemed to bother one another. I was delighted that I had free internet service. It was only 30 mins a day, but it was enough to check flight schedules and send short emails back home. The beach was nice but there were few swimmers because the waves are a bit rough and riptide is strong. There is ample staff around to advise you if its safe to go out. There were few vendors on the beach but were very tame compared to other resorts I've been to. There were plenty of shops on the property to shop at and the prices were within reason. There was an initial invitation to take the property/timeshare tour that I declined. It only came up again once but I was relieved that I wasn't pressured in any way.

Luxury hotel with charme, we received an upgrade and stayed in a beautiful suite. I guess all the room and furniture have the ... same level. Perfect location, 10 minutes drive from Los cabos, in front of a beautiful beach. Only bad point is related to the fact that it is difficult to swim due to the waves, but I guess it is a common experience in this area. Breakfast excellent. Overall a perfect experience

"Fantastic family vacation"
Traveling Family Aug 24, 2009
We all enjoyed ourselves greatly at Sheraton Hacienda and the Cabo area thanks to [...] the manager and the terrific service ... from all the staff. They took good care of all of our group and upgraded most in our party of 16 (young teens to seniors). The property is beautiful and only 20 minutes 5 dollar cab ride to Cabo activities or to San Jose ( a must see). At Hacienda there are wonderful pools for all ages. We spent lots of time at the activities pool playing water volly ball and then when things cooled down we went to the beach for volley ball. Beaches are spectacular and very big unlike what you would see in Cabo. But the waters are rough non-swimmable except at the far end. Food was great at the hotel and Cabo area. Total relaxation and fun for all. We are planning on our next trip to Sheraton Hacienda and Los Cabos!!

Gorgeous but pricey
JP Value Hunter Aug 9, 2009
We were in Cabo for a wedding, and the set-up was at this hotel. We were a little set back at first at the price, but this is ... a five-star resort. We were amazed at the room itself, to which we were upgraded for free upon arrival, and the views from the balconies were incredible. The pools (all 5) were neat and the ocean was gorgeous. All around, a fantastic place to stay. The only problems we had were with the incidental charges. Everything was available, but everything came at substantially marked-up rates, unless you went into town and found the local Wal-Mart (yes, there was a local Wal-Mart. The other caution here is that even at the hotel, you have to guard against sitting through sales pitches for their own timeshares and condos. This was a bit of a putoff, but we were able to basically ignore it and enjoy ourselves. Overall, a phenomenal experience at a first-class resort, though.

Beautiful Hotel & Not Far from Cabo!
A Prego Wife to a Soldier! Jul 29, 2009
When we arrived, our rooms were upgraded automatically. It was wonderful and loved the room. We bought a garden view and was ... upgraded to an Ocean view with wrap around deck. The food was expensive, but okay. Recommend: De Cortez! We have stayed in Puerta Vallarta, Sheraton and never been disappointed. My husband and I did a activity each day. We went through Gray Lines, Loved the service. The dinner cruise wasn't as advertised like Vegas. So, NOT! We loved the Beach Hopping and hanging out in Cabo. The shuttle service is great, $20 for both of us round trip daily! There is a Walmart, Costco, Sam's Club in Cabo. But, there was good deals here and there. One restaurant has all you can eat breakfest. Very good! That was at the Sheraton. Don't forget your sun block or snacks! Mexico's lunch time is always later than I was used to. Cabo was more expensive area and I felt like tips were required everywhere. But, you won't go wrong with the Sheraton and its wonderful staff!

Make it to the flea market and bargin for cheaper gifts. There is a cheap liquor store called Mexican Fiesta on the walk to Cabo Wabo. The mall is more expensive! ***Take your own Whiskey*** It was $15-$16 dollars for a Jack and Coke.

Unbelievable place, unbelievable price
Dallas Travelers Jul 27, 2009
We travel every year while our kids are at camp and found an unbelievable deal online - direct flights and 4 night stay. ... We've been to Cabo before on a few occasions but I have to say this was the most beautiful place we've stayed. I kept thinking that there had to be a catch, but the prices at the hotel were very reasonable and the staff was always smiling and helpful. The restaurants at the hotel were top rate and we ate dinner at the hotel twice and breakfast and lunch almost every day. We rented a jeep and traveled to Cabo (once) and San Jose many times - we prefer the small town, quiet feel of San Jose. The restaurants in San Jose are wonderful - specifically Tropicana, Mi-Cosina - and especially Morgans that gave us our own private room up stairs. The views from our hotel room were fabulous (upgrade to Ocean View - it's so little for the view). Although only 5 days, our stay seemed a lot longer with the quiet setting, relaxed pools, and beautiful gardens.

Alex & Carrie Jun 26, 2009
My girlfriend and I booked a last minute trip here (5 days/4 nights), after spending hours online looking at the many options ... for hotels & resorts in Los Cabos. We didn't want to be around the noisy, obnoxious "spring breaker" types, so we opted to spend a little more and stay away from the all-inclusives. The Sheraton resort is absolutely gorgeous, and has none of the cheesy hotel-ish decor. The landscaping and maintenance of the property are beautiful, and it has a pristine PRIVATE beach. Note that there are only a couple other resorts with private beaches, one being the expensive Palmilla resort. The hotel has a lot of antique wood furniture and it is really tastefully put together. We went at the end of June, so it was low season, but I think this is the only time I would go. The restaurants were never full, there was always a beach chair or pool chair available, and it was so quiet! The food is OK. We didn't go there for fine-dining anyway, for that we could just stay in NY. In our opinion the best of their restaurants is Girasoles, serving Mexican fare on a 4th floor terrace overlooking the Sea of Cortez. Their brunch/breakfast is also highly recommended. One thing that I didn't read in any of the reviews, was that the Sheraton shares its property with the Hacienda Del Mar time-shares. The concierge was great, but we kind of got duped into a time-share tour/presentation that was supposed to take 75 minutes, but actually took like 2.5 hours. We were offered discounted pricing on tours/activities and a dinner certificate if we went, I guess this is a pretty common thing (now we know). The service here is excellent, everyone is always really friendly and helpful. They come around often at the pool or beach to bring you drinks/food, and there was always some sort of special 2-for-1 or happy hour so it was much less expensive than we thought it would be. If you are considering an ocean view room, book the upgrade online, not at the hotel. It is substantially cheaper to do it online! We ended up staying in our garden view room (which was really nice), and we had a partial view of the ocean anyway. All in all, what a great experience! We will return soon.
Traveler type: Couples
We had numerous people approach us offering discounts or incentives for tours/activities. Little did we know they were just trying to get us to attend a time share tour. We got roped into one at Hacienda Del Mar thanks to our otherwise great concierge at the Sheraton. The incentives may be worth it to you, they may not.. Next time we'll steer clear of them.

Loved the location and weather - perfect resort atmosphere. The hotel is very beautiful and the grounds are imaculate. The ... staff was very friendly and helpful. The only drawback was the noise from outside our room - the tile floors were gorgeous but you can hear everything moving outside your room. They had earplugs at the bedside so I guess we weren't the first to notice. It wasn't bad enough for me to complain to the staff or to not go back. We will go back next year for sure.

Was beautiful. We got an oceanfront view and somehow got upgraded even further to this room with a HUGE wrap-around terrace ... overlooking the ocean. The staff was all super-friendly, the room was fairly clean and comfortable. The pools were nice. The food was actually GREAT, which surprised me a bit, with several restaurants to choose from. The ocean there wasn't really swimmable because it was so rough but a quick shuttle ride to town, and we hung out at the beach of another hotel one of the days. You could get a cabana there for a fee. And really most of the time we were happy at the pools. Good vacation, you won't be dissappointed.

This was the perfect getaway! The staff was very accomodating. We had beautiful sunset dinners every night and all of their ... reccomendations were super. We consider ourselves hotel snobs and this was very nice, clean, large balcony and private. We watched the whales every morning and hung out by the pool all day. The spa was nice but the treatments were nothing over the top. They were always able to book a treatment at the time we wanted it. Cabs from the hotel were expensive, use the shuddle provided by the hotel for the the down town trips.($10 rountrip) A great vacation!
