Arguably the best resort on Mombasa's beaches. The hotel provides entertainment on selected evenings, has a beautiful swimming pool right next to the beach, fully equipped spa and gymnasium, mini golf, four floodlit tennis courts, two air conditioned squash courts, volley ball court, water sports, a hair salon, souvenir shop and baby sitting on request. TO/0108 Set amongst 20 acres tropical gardens the hotel is a series of white washed buildings with beautiful arches at the resort's entrances and windows. Typical of the Arabic buildings in East Africa this is one of the east coast's most beautiful resorts. Situated on the Shanzu Beach to the north of Mombasa city and 40 minutes (22 kilometres) away from Moi International Airport.

Beautiful View of the Indian Ocean

The hotel was very nice for the money. If this is your first trip to Mombassa, it is a bit intimidating being swarmed by ... offers of transportation as you walk out of arrival area. The breakfast and dinner buffet were average, but still good deal for cost of room. The seaside restaurant had good seafood - although the monkeys can get pretty bold. My only real complaint is the problem with mosquitoes, no screens on windows, so bring plenty of insect repellent you will need it. I left there with a dozen bites even with the mosquito netting.

The hotel was very nice for the money. If this is your first trip to Mombassa, it is a bit intimidating being swarmed by ... offers of transportation as you walk out of arrival area.
