The best room I stayed in a while. Top notch!! Get the One bedroom; comes with kitchen, living room, washer and dry and fully ... equipped with pots, pans, glasses, toaster, coffee maker and more. The Sales pitch for the time share was a pain in the butt. My wife started to get frastrated with how long it took. They don't understand the word NO!. Thats sales for you. Minus that, it was great, the location, the staff, the jacuzzi. Just minutes from town. If you are like me and look very carefully at the reviews then read this: It is worth the stay and the price. Just skip the sales pitch BS.

Fantastic and Awesome Experience!!!
Fernando Sep 30, 2009
I thought the resort was wonderful. Although I did miss a stove for cooking on, the microwave did suffice. The surrounding ... area was awesome and the views simply took your breath away. We didn't get a chance to use all of the things available to us because of time. I would stay at this hotel resort again. I wanted to point out we did request assistance with a couple of things and the assistance was outstanding. Those who assisted acted fast to assist us and were friendly doing it. Thanks for a wonderful time!!!

Tried to sell me a Timeshare!!
Cross-Country Traveler Sep 28, 2009
When we got there and tried to check in they did a hard sell on me to get me to come to a meeting the next morning or that ... evening to a 90-minute meeting regarding purchasing a timeshare. I was tired from driving 9 hours and then to have this happen was not expected. Seemed like the folks registering me would not take no because they asked me several times about whether or not I wanted to attend the information session.

Much more than expected
Rex Lucis Sep 20, 2009
Sedona Summit Resort is on the western end of Sedona but that does not detract from its charm and beauty, located in the ... midst of desert brush and surrounded by the famous and glorious red rock mountains of Arizona. It's quick and easy to access the main restaurants and shops, though if you're into walking you will not be happy - you will have to drive to get to the old part of Sedona. The "room" was actually not a room, but an entire luxury suite with a bedroom, full kitchen, giant bathroom with a glass and jacuzzi, and a well appointed living room with HDTV and a fireplace. There's also a patio, and it's amazing to look at the night sky and see all the stars!

Hard to find at night!
The Constant Traveller Sep 2, 2009
We had a very quick stay here, checking in about 9pm and checking out at 9am. The late check in created a problem with ... locating the hotelin the dark, mainly because of mixed signage in Sedona, roadworks and no lighting around the street signs or hotel sign. When we did check in the staff were less than welcoming and I had to really pry some basic information from them until they apparently liked my foriegn accent and decided to chat a bit. The room appeared quite clean but felt a bit yuck on our feet. The bathroom wallpaper was old and stained a yellow colour over the toilet. There were no pillowcases on two of our four pillows which were quite stained, so we had to use bed sheets to cover them. The check out instructions included placing all dishes in the dishwasher and there wasn't one... If there was one it would be handy because you HAVE to cook if you want to eat here; there is no restaurant. Otherwise the stay was pleasant and the pool near us looked great. It seems as though for longer stays they have lots of activities for children and adults alike.

I liked the resort but, they were more interested in setting up a time when they could sell us some rooms. Other people we ... saw there also said they were pressured to talk and buy into the "hotel". This shouldn't happen. When we were checking in they wouldnt let us leave without setting up a time when they could talk to us again!

Not bad.....
Planner Mom Apr 24, 2009
The room was average, big bathroom which was nice. The wallpaper was peeling off and needed some help. The location was ... okay, a little off the beaten path. The connecting room wasn't good due to loud neighbors and being able to hear full conversations at 11:00 PM. The room was clean. Nice to have a little kitchen area, but a stove would have been handy. The check in process was a little much based on the Summit being a time-share facility. They kinda hound you into going to their open house for time-share information. The front desk lady tried to sell us on the Pink-Jeep tour and give us a discount if we attended the open house. I tried to tell her we were interested in the Hummer excursion and she said she had never heard of that. It was listed as one of the top ten things to do while you are in Sedona. We did it and had a blast! Pool area was nice and clean. The water was heated so that was great.

paben Apr 22, 2009
The location is awesome. The rooms are clean, but walls are paper thin and you are literally in the conversation with your ... neighbors because you can hear everything! The sales tactics at your check in is nearly unbearable and just saying no thank you doesn't work. Then when we didn't make our appt they scheduled to do their timeshare sales speech, they keep calling you to reschedule. Got sick of that part. All and all, nice spot, but would rather not have to deal with the sales pitch to buy a timeshare.

Nice stay
Traveler Mar 3, 2009
Area is beautiful, grounds well kept; we were greeted by friendly/informative staff; studio room was immaculately ... clean/nicely furnished with small kitchenette; we used local market for few breakfast items which worked very well for us; we chose to take part in a sales presentation (that wasn't required with our reservation---but saved us some $ on rather pricey Pink Jeep Tour); red rocks are magnificent - a must visit is the Chapel of the Holy Cross. There was quite a bit of road construction getting in and out of town, but it really didn't create a big problem. Would highly recommend this room at great Orbitz price.

8 or 9 miles from the hotel is Oak Creek Canyon. It is spectacular in the fall and not crowded like it is on any weekend in the summer.
