Walk down to Ocean Walk and you will find a number of good places to eat, and the Daytona Beach outdoor theatre and entrance to the Beach and Boardwalk. It was great people watching and the Pier Restaurant was beautiful - wonderful chances to photograph stuff. If you are very new to the area, the location is very helpful, easy to find and walkable to most sites.

Great Location Sea Side Inn, But:
Misselaneous Jul 24, 2009
I was well received by the nice staff. Because of very honest comments, I was prepared for the less than attractive state of ... the hotel, it was as reported good for one night. The staff helped a great deal in locating parking, I-Hop was across the street, and having the beach seconds away was great. The location was fantastic, hope someone fixes up the building, and the bathroom faucet. It was a lot to pay, but still it worked for such a busy weekend with short time to find a place. Thanks to many others who gave honest reviews.

get what you pay for
jen happily married Jul 16, 2009
Great location. The only thing going for this place is the location. The rooms were very small and had a moldy smell. We got ... stuck in the elevator because the door wont open unless someone else needs on. If you need to crash for the night not so bad unless you want to take a shower. Definetely not a place to take the family. On the upside it had a big pool and steps that led to the ocean. Kinda reminded you of a prison, the doors pull out instead of push in and you want to sleep with your clothes and shoes on.

Horrible. Our AC did not work in the room. So they switched us to another room in which the locks did not work. Everytime we ... wanted to get back in the room we had to get the front desk. They also attempted charge me more as the room was an "upgrade".

We were there to attend the races for 2 nites. Our rooms were clean but the air conditioners in rooms did not work and by ... the time we got back from the race each nite they were out of fans so it was very hot. But for the price we paid we still got a good deal as far as im concerned. It was clean, no bugs, we had plenty of clean towels, It was just hot.

Very over-rated
yamatoy Mar 27, 2009
My doctor friend and my self were there for bike week. The location was OK and there was a pancake house across the street ... which had good service but the motel was overpriced and over rated. Years ago it was probably a very nice unit but todays standard very poor. The walk ins got the room for less money than I paid. I tried to find out how much but was denied and answer of price. Of the 2500 miles we traveled this was the worst of all places we stayed and most expensive. Never again or will I recomend to anybody. I made a reservation very early so we would get a good room but the office put us in an outside room that the door wouldn't even close properly to keep out the blowing sand. I complained and the office switched the room to a second floor room that was a little nicer as described above. Parking was acrossed the street at the bank because of overcrowded lot. Bad experience. There were lots of vacancies so I made a mistake by reserving the room instead of checking it out first.

First stay in Daytona for a bike event
Richard Oct 19, 2008
I had been to bike week events in the past but had never stayed in Daytona. The location is excellent, easy walk to Main ... Street and enough places to eat and a convienience store nearby. I was very disappointed in the cleanliness of the room, the ac was overrun by dust bunnies and the room just didn't feel clean. The bathroom counter was wayy to small to put your normal stuff. I will say that we had pleasent times sitting around the pool and the beach access was fine. Location excellent, hotel bad, but the way Daytona gets hammered by the car, spring break and biker crowds maybe that is all that can be expected.

The room I had was a killer and I mean it could kill you. There was Mold all along the shower board and above one bed in ... corner. The floors was so Nasty that after a shower your feet was black from walking across the carpet to put on your shoes. This place has went to the dumps since I last visited it. For what you pay it should be a better place to stay....

Not Worth The Money
Ashley Jun 8, 2008
This hotel is in bad shape. The AC units/vent in the room looked ancient and was disgusting and rusty and dusty and had no ... knobs. I stayed away from that entire half of the room because the AC unit/vent was so disgusting. The room smelled overpoweringly of mouthwash and we found a cigarette butt under the bed. We saw only one room service maid the entire time we were there. The bathroom was fine, but the bedding smelled old and gross. They also charge $3 a day per parking for your parking permit.
