We were looking for a quiet and relaxing few days. Room was smaller than anticipated. Generally I am a very patient person ... and can overlook many things, but our stay was not what I wanted or expected. Extremely low water pressure and occasionally no hot water for showers. Food was average to below average. Service was average, but occasionally we would run into someomne that went beyond the call. Went to private island on 1 ocassion and there wer no towels, so we had to wait about 30-45 minutes for ones to arrive. Extremely slow service on getting drinks, both on main resort and on the private island. Gave up waiting on numerous ocassions and did without. Beaches were very small at both main resort and private island.

Would suggest going to the other Sandals resort by cab or suttle. Much better food service, better staffed and much better entertainment and much larger beach.

We ate at 4 of the 5 or 6 onsite resturants only because we ran out of time. All of the food was great. ***Men take pants ... cause 2 of the resturants ask the men to wear pants and close toe shoes. ***And at this resort all inclusive really means all inclusive. We didn't pay for any food or drinks alcohol included. We enjoyed snorkling which was also included. The shuttle service to other sandols resorts which was walking distance from downtown mo bay was very convient. The customer service was great. Much thanks to [...] the bartender at the cricketer pub, [...] and [...] at the grill. We enjoyed the breakfast buffet, the peace and quiet and relaxation with the option to take the shuttle or cab to town to party if we choose to. There is something to everyday at the resort beach and pool volleyball, coupels game show, live music, beach party, craft classes they even offered church service on Sunday the list goes on and on. Over all this resort is great for honey mooners. I would not recommend this place for kids.

Nice Honeymoon
Barely Mrs. B. Jun 18, 2009
All in all this was a great vacation/honeymoon. The room was nice and just steps from the ocean. PROS: beautiful oceanfront ... location, plenty to eat and drink, lots of included activities such as snorkeling, kayaks, aquatrikes, hobie cats, beach party and couples games. CONS: exotic foods do not please everyones taste-buds, staff was less friendly than expected, yet not rude. Shower temperature and pressure was bad all eight days, other couples on the resort agreed, drug dealers on their surf boards were annoying every single day on the resort.

Disappointed
Newlyweds Jun 3, 2009
Overall, disappointed in our stay. Service was very poor, waited a long time to get drinks and dinner served. Every day, by ... late afternoon, our room was not cleaned and we had to call housekeeping. The first couple of evenings, we received fresh towels from the staff, but this stopped after the first couple of nights. Food was average and there was no variety. The same menus were served all week. We weren't able to get a reservation at the Thai/private island restaurant despite the fact that we were there over a week. The large beach was very noisy and crowded. The smaller, quieter beach away from the main part of the resort was the only place to relax in peace and quiet, however, there were a lot of "merchants" on surfboards and small boats that yelled loudly, trying to drum up business for whatever they were selling. The location is VERY close to the airport (about 5-10 min bus ride). However, this meant multiple planes flying overhead (you can probably tune the noise out after a couple of days- unless they are flying during your wedding ceremony). As a result of this experience, we would not stay at another Sandals property. The only very positive thing about the resort is the wedding planning experience. The minister was wonderful and the wedding staff was incredibly organized. Our ceremony was beautiful. The grounds are very well-maintained and we ended up with beautiful photos.

Although the hotel was not as luxurious as the pictures depicted we enjoyed our stay nonetheless. Staff was really friendly. ... I love Elvis night. Food was average. Being all-inclusive was great, otherwise we would have a big bill cause we ate, drank, and played a lot. It was sweet seeing a lot of couples like us who just got married or are getting married. There's definitely love in the air.

The best vacation we have ever been on
Angee G May 4, 2009
The first day that we got there we were sent to Sandals Montego because our room was double booked at the SRC. My husband ... and I were less than pleased but we made due. But the following day the clouds opened up and the sun shined very brightly on us. SRC did everything imaginable to make our trip the absolute best it could be from giving us a full upgrade to the most beautiful room I have ever seen with a swim up pool to special reservations on our anniversary with a complementary bottle of wine. We could not have been more pleased. Now a quick breakdown on the resort:Food is excellent. The people are absolutely the friendliest people I have ever met. The grounds are stunning. The drinks were always being poured and they are not shy when it comes to getting you...should we say "Happy". The beach is a little small but still beautiful. My husband and I both got PADI Scuba Certified while we were there. What an accomplishment. Our instructor [...] was very patient and was an excellent instructor. We recommend him highly. The worst part of the trip was leaving. We will return. Thank you SRC for making our 10 year anniversary the best it could be!!P.S. If you are looking for a resort to relax, have a few drinks with the one you love and fall in love all over again than this is the resort for you. But if you want to party till all hrs of the night and get wild and crazy...go somewhere else.

Great Experience. Recommend a Sandals :)
I am in love with the Caribbean Apr 23, 2009
Sandals Royal Caribbean was AWESOME! Beautiful beach, private island, tons of activities and the all inclusive is pretty much ... anything you can think of (food, premium drinks, scuba, snorkel, etc.) Due to this I also think it was a great value. Jamaican people are also very pleasant who work there, they made the trip for us. It is a nice girlfriend/boyfriend location as well as honeymooners and couples who have been married for ages. Only bad note were the planes taking off. But this resort is farther from airport than others so they were high enough up where the noise was only faint. DO NOT go to the Sandals Montego Bay. VERY LOUD planes and more of a louder place in general. Is nice they allow you access to all three Sandals in the area but if you are doing Montego Bay, do Royal Caribbean. Will travel to another Sandals soon - GREAT JOB!

This is a beautiful resort! my husband and I had a great time here. Our room over looked the ocean. It was quieter then I ... expected (which I thought was a good thing.) One draw back to this resort, is that it is 10 minutes from the airport, so there are a lot of planes that fly overhead. But we got used to that, and it was not too disruptive. There are quite a few amenities included, which is great. The water is beautiful, and overall the staff is very friendly and helpful. We had never been to Sandles Resorts before, but are looking forward to going back to one as soon as we can.

Nice Resort but not luxury
LDV Mar 30, 2009
My husband and I stood in Sandals Royal Carribean from March 27 - March 30. Overall, I thought the resort was nice but not ... as luxurious as I imagined. The lobby area was pretty but small, and gloomy. When I arrived to my room, I was disappointed on how small, dark and dingy it was. The bathroom curtains were cheap looking, the lamp shades had holes in them and the ceiling fan looked very old and was dirty. The hot water took a while to warm up. The french restaurant service was below average, staff took very long to refill my drink and serve our dinner. However, I enjoyed the Thai Restaurant and received excellent service and food. The landscape and resort grounds is very tropical and like a garden of eden. I have to say my favorite part of the resort were the surrounding grounds, pools, and bars. On my last day, I had to leave the resort at 5:30a.m and all the lights were off. I had no choice but to walk down the stairs in the dark with my belongings. I suggest keeping some lighting on for clients who have early or very late flights. Housekeeping was good but very slow. I had to remind the housekeeper three times to clean my room and each day I had to ask for my room to be cleaned. The hot food was good but very limited selections. The pastries and deserts were also limited and did not taste very fresh and good, except for the ice cream, which was creamy and delicious. The cocktails and drinks were excellent and the drinks were above standards and I can taste the quality in the liquors. If I have to pick one of the best highlights of the resort, I would say the swim up pool and tropical drinks.

Thirteen113 Mar 22, 2009
If you like laying on the beach drinking dirty bananas (several of the bartenders make pretty tasty ones) and beer, this ... place fits the bill. The Beach Grill provides a tasty and quick bite to eat while you are swimming. Oddly enough, the food and service on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday was not as good as that on Thursday and Friday. The resort was beautiful. There was rarely anything out of place such as dirt on sidewalks, and other plant debris. At night the place gets even better. I feel that we paid for much more than we got. I know that this is the way it is at all-inclusives, but this seemed to be overkill, so come hungry and thirsty so that you can get your money's worth.
