Overall we had a very pleasant stay
Get Away Oct 11, 2009
We had a comfortable bed and enjoyed the breakfast buffet. I was only dissapointed in the cafe. For the cost of the food it ... lacked quality in taste and presentation. I had an all beef hot dog that tasted like a "spam dog" and I didn't enjoy it being split open and grilled. I would have liked fresh condiments rather than packaged.

Boys Weekend Great Due to Orbitz
Boys Weekend Jun 29, 2009
The folks were friendly and all in all a good stay. The wonderful Orbitz web site helped me save a boys weekend by first ... finding rooms at Gold Strike for 2 nights then when they decided to stay longer, everything was filled up. All other comparisons and travel sites showed nothing at all available in Tunica at the Casino Hotels. Orbitz to the rescue - price was great and the boys / men had a wonderful time. Thanks so much.

Sam's Town Hotel Tunica
Teresa May 21, 2009
I enjoyed this hotel/casino and its location. I especially liked that it had outdoor areas (pool, hot tub, chairs, lounges, ... tables) designed for relaxing when not gambling. In addition, I also enjoyed that this hotel/casino had a nice lobby with comfortable chairs that one could sit in when not gambling. I also enjoyed their buffet.

We went to eat the buffet at about three thirty p.m.They change over to the evening buffet at about four or four thirty.Alot ... of the food was dryed out and for the most part the rest of the food was not very good.I believe that when you pay full price for the buffet that you should get your moneys worth.I will stay here again but will check the buffet out before I purchase it.

Good Tunica Location
Myretta Oct 5, 2008
The Sams hotel was comfortable. My room was clean upon arrival, but one person in my group had dirty sheets. The hotel sent ... someone to change the sheets immediately. The location is good. There is easy access to the highway to get to Memphis. The hotel also provides a shuttle service to the other hotels in the area. A factory outlet mall is also nearby. The hotel should post signs that are visible as soon as you step out of the elevator that indicate the location of the rooms. The room number signs were difficult to find, and so were the rooms the first time.

There is a nice outlet mall a short driving distance from the hotel. Also nearby at another hotel is the Paula Deen Buffet. Signs are posted with directions to the buffet along the way.

Sam's Town in Tunica is the best. We only stayed one night, but the service and hospitality we received well surpassed our ... expectations. The rooms were clean, the staff was friendly, and when a certain someone left a $500 camera in the room, they found it right away and made sure we got it back. I cannot say enough good things about Sam's Town in this review, But I can say, try it for yourself!

Debra Sep 1, 2008
Sam's Town in Robinsonville, MS was very comfortable and clean. The casino and restaurants were included in the same ... building, all under one roof. Very convenient. Our truck would not start the morning of departure. Their security staff met us in the parking lot, and gave us a jump and got our truck going. The gentleman was very friendly and extremely helpful. I would recommend this hotel to anyone.

Sam's Town Tunica was not ...
Robert Aug 30, 2008
Sam's Town Tunica was not what we expected. The lobby area looked nice, the check in counter was fine, but when we headed ... toward the elevators to go up to the room is when we noticed the drastic transformation. The d?cor was way out of date. When we entered the room, the carpet was well worn and filthy. You would not want to walk around without shoes on. Although the room may have been clean, the condition of the furniture, drapes and carpet would suggest otherwise. In addition, there were mosquitoes throughout the lobby and halls. When we checked out the next morning, I was asked by the desk clerk how our stay was. I explained in detail about the perceived condition of the room and the mosquito problem. Her response was ?we?ll have the room cleaned and we will also spray for bugs?. I said to her that is great but we are checking out. Sam?s Town was not our choice of properties to stay at, it was the only place available near where we needed to be that night.

We (2 couples) stayed at Sam's town Tunica for 2 nights and were pleasantly surprised that the rooms we had were very ... recently remodeled. The hotel staff was great. Eating at the buffet for breakfast was fine, but I didn't enjoy the dinner buffet the first night. Based on that we didn't go to the better restaurant in the hotel the second night, instead we went to Hollywood Casino & ate in the upstairs restaurant & everything was excellent. You definitely need transportation to get around. There no longer is a shuttle between hotels.

this was our first time at this hotel. we had stayed previously at other casinos in tunica but some of them were really nasty ... once inside the casino,(cigarette butts on the floor, trash in between every machine,etc.. but sams town was very clean and one of the friendliest hotels yet.. check in was a breeze, they accidentally made a mistake in our room and they were very quick to make it right, and this was even the 4th of july! Very impressive... the buffet here is to die for.. if you walk away hungry that is your own fault, there is everything one can imagine.. and the lil gift shop is so awesome and moderately priced. after all the restaurants were closed there was one still open all night for snacks and such and omg they have the bargains, the muffins and pastries were awesome and HUGE!You really must try this one .. Sams town was well worth the money and we will definitly stay here again

Sam Town Hotel Tunica. It was a great room except there was a mildew smell each time. All three of us noticed it ... especially when we first came into the room. I liked the bathroom as it had a long counter and plenty of light and space for us. The beds were very comfortable. I would go back. There was some contruction going on also.

The main attraction in Tunica is gambling and there are plenty of casinos to go to. You will need a shuttle to get to them, but as far as entertainment, that is about all you can do in Tunica. We wanted to do the Riverwalk, but it got too hot early in the day to try to do that.
